Cheap Film Photography - Agfaphoto APX 100 and Agfa APX 25

Cheap trills with a big results, I've being using old faithful for over a year now. My go to film, Agfaphoto APX 100. It well believed to be made by Harman Technologies. They also produce Kentmere and Ilford too. Agfaphoto APX 100 is also known to be rebranded as Rollei RPX 100 and Universal CHM 100 (FotoImpex Berlin). In my video I shot both Agfaphoto APX 100 and Agfa APX 25. There are plenty of example through out using my Olympus OM-1 camera.

Apx looks really nice - am sure I’ll end up shooting it once I inevitably end up self developing again… sticking to XP2 for now - cheers for sharing the video - lovely setting and shots

Thank you so much! XP2 is such great flexible film. I do still in love all the Ilford film especially PanF and FP4.

You mention that RPX 100 is the same emulsion. This one is sold in 120 medium format as well. The APX 25 is also available as 4x5 sheet film.

Hi Frank, I wonder about this if the 120 RPX would be the same emulsion, I think I'll order some and try it out on the Bronica or the Yashica. Thanks for the tip! Gavin

The Rollei RPX 25 is available as 4x5 (not APX) - sorry for my mistake. I used RPX 100 in 120 a lot a when it was quite cheap a few years ago. But now it is the same price or even higher than FP4 - then I prefer the Ilford.

Indeed my favorite film as well. Especially if you look at price/performance there is not much like it. The only thing is that you mention that price of €5 that I was used to. Right now in The Netherlands that price has doubled. Where do you buy? I love the video and the photos by the way!
