hey man found some info on that reel. Blue is standard, like any other bait caster, Purple is for long casting, Green is max brake, and Yellow is for braided superlines.

I like your cheap vs expensive challenges. I'd like to see you do a challenge where you pick an inexperienced fisherman and give them the expensive equipment. Then you with experience gets all cheap equipment. Think that might get interesting.

I'll say it's not cheap or expensive lures that catch the fish. It's knowing the right techniques and having the know how to use the lures yoi have. I've smoked them on both lol I've also tested expensive soft plastics to expensive. Not a huge difference in catches one vs the other.

The Yum Dinger is my favorite. At Scheels I can buy a 30 pk for $10,. Scheels also makes a very durable stick bait as well. But the sleeper has been Walmart's Ozark Trail soft plastic coming in at $1.99 . Loved the challenge, nice work !

1:07 expensive fancy gear nearly always catches more fishermen that got money to spend than they do fish. If you know what you're doing, going on the cheap can always produce as much as higher priced gear.
