I have the Harbor freight towels and foam cannon. They have been great, so far, especially when you can get them on sale.

I love those Grant towels. I'll try that foam canon. I'm also a huge fan of "foam, rinse, foam". Great video.

I was just watching your video about the harbor freight pressure washer I love Harbor freight stuff. I use a lot of it in my detailing business and their towels and stuff were great for me and I love your channel as well. You do a great job. I can’t wait to try your ceramic sprayed up because I hear a lot of good things about it. Keep up the good work.

I'm really happy with the Grant's towels, the coupons are great!

Good video and review of the towel. I always use a blower first then use the Grants.

I have the Bauer pressure washer . Going on 3 years with no issues. Great for us weekend worriers. Another good demo Jimbo .

These Grants towels are awesome. They’re a step above Costco towels, which aren’t bad at all. I don’t see the benefit of buying fancy, boutique towels online. They also have a drying towel and a glass towel that are a good value. I’ve had my towels for over a year now and they haven’t had any issues when it comes to wear and tear. I use mine for rinseless washing so they get cleaned quite often.

I agree with you. I personally use a blower to dry first . Then use the Grants. Those fancy over priced towels are overkill, especially on your wallet and a waste of money.

Been using these towels since they came out, they hold up pretty well. Also really like the yellow and grey drying towel they have.

Good to know they hold up.

I'm new to detailing so I found your vid quite helpful! Thanks!! Bought the foam cannon when I bought my Harbor Freight Pressure Washer(2300 psi 1.2 gpm) and unfortunately my lack of knowledge bit me. The 1.2 GPM just isn't enough for my desires so I'll likely be upgrading in the near future. I do love the foam cannon tho.....it's a great price point and works really well for my DIY needs. I also have a package of the towels but haven't used them yet. I was a little worried about the edges cuz they seem quite hard and I thought they might scratch the paint. Good to see you using them like you did. Very helpful - thanks again.

Did you try out the 1.1 orface?

very impressive with the super soap Jimbo, no road grime residue on the drying towel after the initial foaming. gotta try that stuff! bought some of the Grant microfibers and drying towels at the beginning of the season, they have been great, even after multiple washings. I saw Wal-Mart started selling a roll of 300 gsm towels (50 for $25). been wanting to try those as well.

I bought several different towels from harbor freight. The “drying towels” are two sided one side being a twisted loop normal type drying towel the other side a very short nap towel more like a polishing towel. I use these for detailing with ceramic type sprays after washing since the short nap really works well with these products. I also bought packs of the regular microfiber towels that are purple and chartreuse they are not great but seem very durable and I’ve used them for both interior and exterior general wiping for glass and leather plus the dashboard and have been pleased with them for the price

I have 2 of the drying towels as well. The yellow/grey towel correct? It’s not a twist loop it’s a plush style. Works ok but pales in comparison to an actual twist loop towel.

Ive tried numerous towels from HF and the best by a mile are the edgeless ones in this video. I use them for almost everything and have had them since they were introduced. Probably washed 25 to 30 times and they are holding up great. I do have some TRG Creatures that are a bit thicker and 70/30 ao they are fluffier and softer and they do lose theeads at the edges over time but I just trim them after the wash and they are good. These are the only towels that I use on the exterior of my personal cars but the HF work for everything else abd customer exteriors too.

Change the orifice to 1.1 and add the double filter mod in the head and it'll foam up much better.

After washing the Harbor Freight towels several times they DO start falling apart at the edges (which I expected). For the money though, excellent towels!

I own this foam cannon and the Adam's foam cannon and this one actually seems to do a better job at half the price. Very impressed with the value and is completely adequate for my needs. I use Turtle Wax Pure Wash (pH neutral) in the foam cannon and it works extremely well at a really good price. Also have the large Grant's drying towel and it works great. As well, the Grant's chenille microfiber wash mitts are every bit as good as Chemical Guys or other higher priced mitts. Overall, Grant's seems to provide good quality and great value for the price.

If you don't care about using a pressure washer, the foam gun (used with a garden hose) that harbor freight sells is very good for only $20.

That’s on my list too!

@@autodetailingpodcast awesome! Looking forward to to your review. It will never create thick shaving cream style foam like a good foam cannon and pressure washer, but I think it's a good compromise. It's hot where I live so I prefer to wash my car at night. And I have to wash outside and I have neighbors close by, so running a pressure washer at night is just not something I'm willing to do. The foam gun is much easier and quiet, so it's a compromise I'm willing to make.

I have those as well but these have a nice super plush side. I don’t see anything wrong with the Costco towels aside from the annoying labels attached to each towel. They both get the job done.

Came to say the same thing. Maybe his soap doesn’t foam well with normal amounts or something.
@autodetailingpodcast2 ай бұрын
It’s not the foam. It foams with 1 oz. It’s the cleaning power that is boosted.
