Sorry Sheep you lost me at product reviewers who create their own brands can no longer review brands. Case in point Brian from Apex. I’d trust him 10 trillion times more than any other single person on KZbin. He made Blue Collar products and is still the best product review channel around imo. Does Sheep think Brian should no longer give his opinions on products? How bout you Jimbo, do you agree Brian from Apex no longer has an objective opinion since his line came out? Just say THOR Pan and everyone involved with those cats can’t review products. Say it from your chest 😂😂
@sheepstardetail2 күн бұрын
I said it in the interview, If you own a brand, you should stop reviewing . I’ve been following Brian from apex/auction for years, I respect his experience and knowledge, and know that helped him develope (with ArtDeShine) his products. But once he launched his line, I stopped going to him for reviews. He is less hype about his videos and that’s why it seems different, but monetary interests always play a factor, otherwise why bother launching a brand unless it’s specifically to reduce costs for his in house detailing business?
@ChingyBlingy2 күн бұрын
@ i get your premise, I’ll still take his word 100x out of 100. I’ve seen other product reviewers not even use products correctly and call products trash. Or not use it correctly and say it’s the greatest. You have to look at each channel’s content top to bottom and judge their feedback objectively. At least you can trust his professional opinion and techniques/methods. Dude doesn’t miss
@sheepstardetail2 күн бұрын
@ yeah he knows his way around. And I’m not saying he is skewing his numbers or reviews, but the monetary incentives make it so that he cannot claim to be unbiased or objective. Linking up with THOR adds another layer, since they will not want I’ll things said about the brands they support.

Tbh I watch little to no other detailing content. I pretty much scan titles and move on. You absolutely CAN tell people how to detail a car. You just need to make it clear that you're an enthusiast and that you have your own methodology for detailing YOUR car. Different strokes for different folks.
@sheepstardetail3 күн бұрын
A big part of that decision is that I have a fairly forgiving climate when it comes to detailing. Cloudy/raining for a lot of the year, so you can let snowfoam/fallout removers dwell for 30+ minutes if you want. Also my tap water has a TDS of 20 or lower. I can tell people how to detail a car, as long as it's at my house using my stuff. Beyond that, the pros are the guys to reach out to and watch, and I have a massive amount of respect for those that do it full time.

@TheOutdoorDetailer Here's what came up when i googled it; affiliate links on KZbin are considered paid promotion. Affiliate links are a way for creators to earn money by promoting products in their videos. How it works Creators partner with brands to promote their products. Creators add affiliate links to their video descriptions. When viewers click the links and make purchases, the creators earn a commission. Benefits For creators: Creators can earn additional revenue beyond AdSense. For brands: Brands can reach KZbin's large audience. Best practices It's good business practice to let viewers know about paid promotions. You can mark your video as containing paid promotions. KZbin will automatically show a disclosure message at the beginning of the video.
