You guys are so cool. I went from not knowing you at all, a year ago. To totally, dang, only a 10 min. video this week. And I think that laminate for the ceiling is the greatest design idea I've ever seen. You need to patent that idea, before somebody steals it.
@saxonsoldier678 жыл бұрын
+Kathryn Blodgett They need to patent a pressurized mop to clean that flooring... er... ceiling like the space pen that writes upside down and in micro-gravity.

Another way to take up the gaps that I've discovered is to run construction glue and then rope. Worked for me. Love ya'lls videos. I been watchin for years now. Thanks for all the pointers ! God bless, Wulfy

The flooring on the ceiling is a great idea and looks really nice. We've done similar things--such as make an interior ceiling with corrogated tin sheet roofing material. It looks good and we don't have to finish sheet rock. You guys are great.

Turned out great also & really durable! U'all have done a great job!! I'm really looking 4ward 2 the rocket stove construction! Please get all or as much as U can N the video because I was praying that U'all would add 1 so that I will B able 2 build the same N my barn turned tiny house! I benefit a lot from your projects!! AND Thank U 4 that !!!

For the gap between the wall and ceiling you could glue thick rope to cover that seem. I've seen that done when people build tree houses and need to seal the gap between the ceiling and tree trunk or floor and tree trunk.

Shay, next time you use fiberglass insulation use baby powder on all exposed skin before you start it will keep most of the fibers out of your pores. If you don't do that lay in a supply of rubbing alcohol, pour it on and let it evaporate, then without rubbing wash off with cold water. The alcohol will pull the fibers out of your pores and the cold water will take it off without reopening your pores . I learned this while spending the summer repairing fiberglass boats!

Also, respirators--dust masks, at least. Glass fibers + lungs? not good.

Keep in mind for the rocket stove to work property and at it's most efficient, you need to have the pipe raise one inch every foot of length until you turn it upwards to go out.

Is this regular laminate (basically MDF) or laminated wood (plywood-backed)? How is this performing over time vs gravity, any droopage between attachment points? Thanks, looks great and good thinking here.

Is that box rated for use with a ceiling fan???
@bigunone8 жыл бұрын
+Bike Man Dan In a word no, NEC code says it must be able to support thirty pounds. Will it work yes. Is it safe I have worked in a house where a four square box has been holding a Hunter ceiling fan made out of cast iron up for decades. It is much better than one hung on a nailed on plastic box.

Please be careful of pallets. Unless the pallets are branded with an "HT"--meaning heat treated, the wood is treated with pesticides and other chemicals that you do not want to bring into your home.

Laminate is better on ceiling---cannot be water damaged unless roof leaks...on floors, laminate can easily be damaged fro pet 'accidents', plant watering overflows, and other watery spills that happen more often.
