So, I bought these too. Like you said... they're not the worst. I like buying cheap supplies, just to see how they work and it was a struggle. All in all though, I'd play with them again. You did a great job, all things considered. The bird is really cute. I have better supplies, such as Talens gouache, and there's no comparison, but this was still fun.

They really aren't the worst. I love buying cheap supplies and testing them because I know there are a lot of young artists who feel pressured to spend all their money on new supplies, and I want to bring attention to more affordable options. I'm with you, I'd play with them again, even though I have better gouache paints. I'd never heard of Talens before. I'll have to check them out! Thank you for watching, and for the new supply tip!

I tried some recently and thought that they felt like painting with elmer's glue. They are still fun to play with, they also remind me of kids paint/tempura.

Oooo I like that comparison to Elmer’s glue. Definitely kids paint, like the stuff that comes in the big tubes for finger painting in school.

So I accidentally bought this for myself and am just now watching the reviews and I think I’ll gift it to my little sister if I can’t get it to work out for me. She would enjoy it more than I would at that point.

It was a weird, and nearly frustrating experience. I hope you’re more successful than I was with it. If not, I’m glad you still tried it for yourself and gave it to your sister! Honestly, I’d give mine to my kids if I didn’t fear it would end up all over my walls and furniture haha

@@xmoshyMCCOY literally only got through opening 3 of them and swatching those before I gave up for the night. I might try to swatch the rest before work today 😂 I’ll update y’all this weekend, let you know if I can make any art with them.

If you let the gouache dry and then lay a second possibly third coating, they are not bad. Himi rules.

@@xmoshyMCCOY himi is the best but even that dries out and loses its creaminess.
