Those VX Deluxes have a dry sump, so be careful how far you fill it up. I usually fill mine a little past the min line to be safe.

When testing compression hold the throttle wide open. That shuts off fuel flow and gives maximum air flow.

Those harbor freight compression testers always read way less than the actually compression so as long as they are consistent it’s fine
