I love these brushes! I am a HUGE fan of Ron Ranson. His books and videos got me hooked on hake brushes years ago. I'm glad to know you guys carry this version. I can't seem to find them anywhere. Now I know where!

Thanks! I actually have one that I bought from you at least 15 years ago. It is wonderful for skies and large washes, and still works great after years of use.

Love these for my encaustic work. So thirsty and rich lay down of the wax.

Thanks for the helpful info on these brushes. Does Cheap Joe’s stock the palette you use?

Hey MS… yes, we do! It is the Skip Lawrence palette. I really do love it! Thanks for watching and thank you for your question! 😊 Julie

Demo with other mediums may be more effective than the watercolor, which we could not see on the paper

Thanks for the info I just got mine a few days ago! Do you know what the hole is for in the base of the brush?
@juliedavis89578 ай бұрын
Hey Molly… the brush is made of ferrules of bamboo which are hollow tubes. The ends are open… my theory because it helps keep the moisture from building up inside and getting mold inside. Thanks for watching and for your question. 😊 Julie

Do they shed?

I've seen those before but didn't know how they were meant to be used. Do they work well with thinned out acrylics as well or are they best kept to watercolor?
@juliedavis89578 ай бұрын
Hey Maggie… they work well with almost any media. Acrylic, oil, inks, watercolor… great for gesso too! Thanks for watching and thanks for your question! 😊 Julie
