There are some suspension bushings which are need to loosen and retighten with static vehicle load (lower front arm front bushing, same at the rear, do not know exactly which one). It will lift the suspension to the previous position a bit.

Greasing your struts like that can put some new life back into them, make them last longer and feel a lot better. I did this with my Civic and it made a world of difference.

Out the box dropsprings usually don’t go low. Unless you buy something like H&R Ultralow or something but for that money you can buy budget coilovers rather ....

The Budget coils that I'm running on my 03 wrx are Maxpeedingrods and they aren't too bad. Also using one of their Turbos and its working as it should. I'd recommend checking them out if you're on a budget like I am.

If you do gauges, get some Defi Advance BF gauges. They pretty much match the stock STi cluster

Cut a coil off the top of each spring but make sure its inline with the end of each coil. I've done it loads of times and have never had an issue.

Please hold off on ordering the coilovers!! Been looking for a super cheap spring set for the time being, since I'm back to stock on my hawkeye after my last set of coils went bad. Might just cop these for now, if they'll settle a little more. Give us another review after putting more miles on her!!

Before even watching this I knew the springs would not drop it enough. Those tires don’t help either. Gary was good learning experience.... coils only especially with that kinda wheel set up. Stock wheels and some meatier rubber would have been fine.

Okay, I would go old school dude!!! Cut the old spring! You are trying to do a budget build, what is more, budget-friendly than cutting a spring??? Maybe do a 1/2 a spring loop first to see what drops??? This would be a cool experiment. If it gets you the right height, the powder coat them blue!!!

Yeah the 04 STi airbag does not fit the 06-07 steering wheel. Either way the 06-07 steering wheel airbag is a lot nicer in my opinion

Your tire size is always too narrow and that leads to a much lower profile which gives the illusion of a larger fender/tire gap. The stretch tire thing looks silly and makes any car handle worse than it should. Just my .02
