For the record, there are plenty of old cars in Chicago that don't have rust on them, just like not every neighborhood in Chicago has the crime that folks think it has(several cities have more crime). In the past, I had bought a 2002 Honda Civic with 170k miles without rust and without damage for $1100 at a dealer auction... People are just taxed more for used Hondas and Toyotas in the South and Southwest. Look at the MMR value for a 3 out of 5 Honda(with similar mileage) at Manheim Chicago compare to Manheim in Atlanta or Las Vegas.

Let me tell u they are either GREEN YELLOW OR RED.. the cheap ones usually have problems. issues or needs work that's why some of them are cheap af. But u can find good deals if u know what u looking for. Most of the time around 2 to 3k of retail price.. My friend is a dealer and I have been to lots of auctions in sanantio dallas n houston.
