I bought the douk t8 eq and returned it. Not sure if I don't like tubes or the product. Also weird that it is packaged in the same box as the aiyma a08 pro, which I do like. My desktop system is a wiim mini, schitt modi, bellari eq 570, a08 Pro, Sony sscs5 and a jamo 808 sub. A cheap audio man special.

The topping E50 is better than the Modi+ even if you’re just doing 16 bit, 44.1 kHz PCM, especially with a decent, clean power supply. But that said, if you need a little extra brightness bc of veiled speakers, then the Modi+ can be a good fit. 👨🏻Good luck!

Hey CAM (CheapAudioMan), You speak often of "Up-grade-able" power supplies. I don't know much about this. I wonder if this might be worth doing a video on? Where do we get them? How do we know if we have bought something that didn't come w sufficient power? Wall warts seem to be another modern trend. Some wall warts are bigger than others, does this mean they supply a different amount of power? Is more power always better?

Random but the best bit of audio kit I bought was the first Topping DX3Pro. USB to PC. RCA to speakers. 3.5mm headphone. Optical to wall mounted TV. Bought over four years ago for £125* and so good I can't think of any excuse to upgrade ! *The newer version is the Topping DX3Pro+ but at £200 I think it is way over priced.

Same problem as my Fosi T20.. and most of the others. For those using it as a pc desk amp if you cant perfectly get yourself in the center of the speakers just use a receiver or large amp.. the lack of a balance control is key limitation for me. Easier to change amps than change rooms. I just wish some had balance controls, i'd pay more for it !

Do all these class-d amps sound better or as good as the Sony STR-DH190? The Sony can be found for $150, which is close to the T6's price. You gain a lot of inputs, a phono stage, FM with the sony.

I made the mistake shortly after this Douk cheap-a_s amp came out - even ordered it from Alie Express. Wow, was I disappointed? The sound quality was horrible - very thin and harsh in the upper registers, even after lengthy periods of being left on. Had a hard time turning it on - had to switch the on-off switch back and forth several times. Also, this amp is very susceptible to ground and RF noises. I tried to send it back but Douk just ignored me, so I'm stuck. It's a nice looking little amp with a gadget plastic insert that lights up by the tubes - but beyond that, don't waste your money.

And chips determines the sound Quality, remember Transformers,thd, RMS,the transformer in my Pioneer elite 94 is bigger than the entire amps now,and weighs 50lbs. I understand size and weight makes it easier to handle with it, but now the chip is the most important tech. in it. 😢 However its more convenient and takes less space,and a better price.Guess iam kinda old school.Size does matter!😁

Thanks for the video. I'd still favor the Aiyima T9 and T9 Pro. Why? Plenty of inputs one actually needs (instead of a semi-decent headphone output in the age of wireless headphones), TI amplifier chip.

I love these videos and got the 07 for my kitchen setup from your advice (bit lean but for the money pared with warm speakers great) Have you ever thought about building your own amplifier kit? You seem to be a skilled diy guy and even experimented with op-amps… Something like Modules from Purifi vs Hypex vs ICEPower ? Given those are a bit more high end but I guess for about 400 - 800$ a diy amp kit sounding highend as a ten time the cost is possible with a little DIY

I dont know about douk audio. I only know them from their external meters that do nothing but show meters and degrade the signal path. Not sure if audio quality is on top of their list.

I just put together a bedside system. Preferred to keep it as cheap as I can. I already own a Schitt Loki EQ. I purchased a Fosi P2 (cheapest tube amp) and BluDento BLT2 streamer. On Tuesday, I received my 6K2P-EV from Bulgaria. They immediately expanded the dynamic range over the original. Currently, I just ordered a silver plated usb-a to micro usb cord. I have silver and silver plated RCA’s. I expect a full month to to see what my system will be capable of.

So much do I hate amps which have some DACs in them (because bluetooth), but do not have USB and optical input. Would it be so hard to add USB? I know it is supposed to be an amp paired with a separate DAC and the bluetooth is just an afterthought, but in this the DAC also has bluetooth. So why not save at least some dollars on the radio and DAC that they bothered to put in?

The voltage gets stepped up inside the amp, it doesn't get its power directly from the power supply.

Having Bluetooth gives nice flexibility but it's made redundant if you have a wiim mini/pro. I don't get why a lot of these amps come with afterthought headphone jacks slapped on. I'd rather manufacturers put that money into the product or reduce the price. Because if you do put a headphone amp in you might as well put a good one in and add a DAC, changing its category to an all in one desktop solution. It's too bad you can't choose between tubes and no tubes.

For me, the volume controlled aux out on this Douk is really nice. I have three A07s and like them but hate that the line out isn't volume controlled so you can't do line level subs.
