It's funny, I'm in literally the exact same siituation. Ive been watching all the Smeedia, Bader, Off the Line, etc. videos but they always gloss over everything, like the really fine details. Because those are the things that keep catching me up, like thread sizes, fittings, hose types, diameters, etc. You go through everything for someone who has never done it before and it's really helpful (and entertaining). I appreciate the videos!

Not a problem, happy they helped! I had the same issues so figured I'd make my own videos to help people out.

FYI, those carbide burrs are the wrong type to be using for this! Those carbide burrs are meant for steel, not aluminum, which is why they clogged up and got destroyed. You need to use carbide burrs that are meant for aluminum, which will have much wider/bigger gaps between the cutting edges of the bit.

Thanks for the tip! I realized awhile after I posted the video what my issue was. I'll for sure be prepared for next time!

Great video! Thank you for uploading 🙏🏾 I’m currently working on this project this weekend. One thing that may not worth though is that when we remove the metal rail(bar) but re-install the sensors; I think it will still throw a low voltage code because that metal bar completed the circuit. So I just drilled a few holes in mine and reassembled the bar with the sensors so that the ECU still thinks that there are btrfly valves that it is opening and closing. 👍🏾

Thanks! That's a good trick, especially if you are still using the COBB AP.

Will tuners still tune these though ?
@zach_lush2 жыл бұрын
Could depend on the tuner. Mine didn't even question it.

Nice! Will you be painting it? Looks good either way🔥

Thank you! Not going to bother. I was debating on powder coating it but it's something I'd want to do myself and not have a company mess up on. Maybe in the future!

@@zach_lush I’ve just done tgv deletes and the gains are not worth the work including epa are cracking down on tunes
@zach_lush2 жыл бұрын
@@mikepeterson6527 I did it due to long term goals with the car. Currently I agree not worth much but my end goals is where I'll see the gains. In Canada we don't have emissions so I can get away with it. Just got the car tuned without the AP

@@zach_lush Cobb now have deactivated anyone from deleting the codes because of epa! I believe leaving the shaft back in works fine unless you’re building an 800hp engine! Lot of work to return the power to where it was before the deletes!
@zach_lush2 жыл бұрын
@@mikepeterson6527 yes I'm aware, however I no longer use the COBB AP for tuning so it's not an issue for me. Yes there's other methods of doing this, I just wanted zero restrictions.
