If you ever get a chance to see Robin's solo band, RZB, don't miss it. He does a LOT of classic rock covers- AC/DC, The Who, Cream, Etc, and it's amazing hearing his legendary voice on those tracks.

@Brewzerr 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's not that I think Dax sucks. He pulls it off. It's just that Bun E is one of those drummers that nobody can touch. He was always my favorite member of CT and he added so much to their sound, image, and overall magic. They're still writing great songs (much better than what they were serving up in the horrible '85-'94 period) and they still put on a great show, but it doesn't go to that next level like it did with Bun E. Oh well, I guess we had better just get used to it. I don't think Bun E's ever coming back. That ship sailed a while back now.

When I was working in the master bathroom he came in set on the toilet (not using it) and talk to for a half HR then show me his walk in safe full of guitars and his little recording studio, Rick even let me pick up and play Angus Young Gibson guitar that was given to him.

Some buddies and I got to party in their trailer one night when they were playing in L.A. They were inside the Forum, rehearsing. I peeked out the window and all these girls screamed! I ducked back and my friends go: "What the fuck was that?!" I said: There's a TON of girls outside! "No way!" Watch this. And I put on one of Nielsen's hats, and turned the brim up. He had a bunch of them on the wall. I pulled back the curtain and popped my head out. All these girls went flippin' crazy! Last time That ever happened...

I can't stand Steve Miller's music but he was dead on the money about the RRHoF. Someone needed to say it and he stepped up. I still won't listen to his records, but he's got my undying respect. Cheap Trick has been one of my top 3 favorite bands for well over 40 years, but I never cared one way or another when they got inducted. That institution means fuck-all to me. It's just an excuse for a bunch of record industry scumbags and their sycophants to get together and stroke each other's egos while they charge $10K admission. It has about as much to do with actual rock and roll as an insurance seminar. They induct rappers and pop divas while completely ignoring the true rock and roll pioneers. I really wish people would quit thinking of them as the standard for rock and roll legitimacy and greatness. That place is a joke and a skid mark on the underwear of rock and roll.

RRHOF gives Cleveland a reason to exist on the map and pluck down a few tourists from L.A./NYC flights over flyover country and make a few bucks. It is what it is.

Steve Miller wouldn’t give the RnR Hall his music and likeness unconditionally, good for him. And for fighting to get his band there to perform without having to buy them tickets at $10k each.

Since the best band in Rock finally made it the Not much all of Fame Deep Purple. Are we ever going to get Steppenwolf in there. Their to good for that ridiculous establishment. Uriaheep should be in there. It's a shame they have Rap garbage over artist like John Kay and Steppenwolf and Uriaheep.

Not every fucking band that recorded an album should be in the HOF. Uriah Heep and Steppenwolf were nice and both are unworthy. Emerson, Lake and Palmer should be in however for their huge record sales and world wide popularity, their incredible stage shows and the fact that they brought something new and different to the table. Emerson's Hammond rocked just as much as any of his contemporaries on guitar and none other than Jimi Hendrix was a fan. I realize they won't ever get in, unless they wait until Carl Palmer passes away. Silly assholes.

Love DP but, I would rather see Blackmore's Rainbow get inducted, over DP, maybe just induct Blackmore and then Ian Paice, Glover, Lord, Coverdale, Dio, Daisley, Bonnet, JL Turner, Glover, Cozy Powell, et al..Can get their criminally underrated overdue accolades. Blackmore literally defined his own genre of hard rock/metal, spawned some of the best bands ever with highly listenable and technically-sound music, and very quietly played with some of the greatest musicians in rock history.

I first saw Steve Miller on the Book of Dreams tour...amazing concert, trailblazing sounds for the time! But what do you expect from a guy who grew up learning guitar from Les Paul.

Never really cared for their albums, but they were a completely different band live. In 1980 I dated a girl that was into CT and she drug me to a show. I was blown away. Those dudes rocked. Saw them again in '81 and that show was just as good.

Your opinion, but not at all relevant here. Look up the reason for these comments. Miller totally shamed the HoF in his acceptance speech and defended CT while doing it. Steve Miller and Cheap Trick are both amazing live so :) Watch the speech, it's an anthem in itself.
