CCI is budget friendly but shoots well and runs clean. Been running CCI Mini Mag .22, CCI Blazer Brace in 9mm and .357 mag for many many years.

A match chamber rifle like a cz or anschultz and you would notice a huge difference... it's all in the chamber tolerance when you get into the " match" grade ammo and rifles...

People don’t understand that nowadays everyone thinks it’s just lead when it’s a lead/tin alloy, pure lead is only really used for muzzleloaders nowadays due to its ability to expand to fill rifling in something that you have to push the round into, it’s science not randomness 😂

It's called a button nose . You'll find them on wad-cutters usually but this is a semi wad-cutter. In theory they decrease drag. Try these in your expensive rifle and see how they do .

I got one that shoots a little better then that one bolt xt-22 but the micro grove barrel marlins are sweet shooters especially with cci standard volovity

The iron sights are phenomenal on this gun. I've had it 40 years and can still hit damn near every shot. Bought many more expensive guns since. But that 18 shot tube feed marlin is still top 3 for me.

That pricy amo with flat looking nose is called a truncate conical. &/ if you think that marlin model 60, did well with cci std velocity Try copper plated ,40 grain solid rd nose mini mags ,bet you get 1 hole at 50yrds benched,scoped cheaply with 10 rounds. It damn well should,the gun & amo are both match grade if you can find & try exactly what I said. You can't go wrong with an American made marlin model 60 for $200.00 that can out shoot,hit & pace most anything else out there no matter how much coin it costs. Take it from a silver bear that knows his poop! All the world over they long for American engineering & American made products . Any problems ,just keep trying copper plated ,round nose at or near 40 grain wieght & standard to hi velocity. There are lots of amo to fit that description out there. Even amo described as identical specs on the box ,can not be ruled out,because another factor that comes into play that has a often bigger difference than any other spec is bullet dia or bore fit

The testing ive seen sho2s the Winchester bulk ammo (the like 222, 333, 555 round boxes) have th most consistent velocities. Just so ya know, if you want bulk accuracy, thats the way to go

CCI Standard Velocity is a very good ammo but when you are trying to squeeze the most accuracy out of a .22 you have to properly season the barrel for that ammo and experiment with multiple high end rounds to match the harmonics of your rifle. The ammo that shoots insane groups in one of my rifles is very disappointing in the others so you can't go off of the price or what shot well in someone else's rifle.

What he is using is a Marlin model 60 semi-auto .22LR Rifle. I believe the tube magazine holds 15 cartridges. Ruger bought out the Marlin company a few years ago, the model 60 is a bit of a collector's item now.
