i used valve cleaner, pick, and also a long small wire brush attachment for my drill, careful of small wire coming off, also used a small air tip for filling inner tubes on the end of my small shop vac to get all the debris. anything you can get on you shop vac to get down in there is good i ghetto rigged an old fish tank tube with that air tip on it and taped it to my shop vac lol

Home Depot sells hose attachments that are small enough to get into the valve "chamber". I used Berryman's Chemtool to soak the valves and that worked pretty well with picks and brass brushes.

I've owned my n54 since '07 and always do this with the car on. I do it before every oil change. Never had any issues besides occasionally fouling a spark plug or 2. I burst spray in the the vacuum hose to the bov and in the inlets aswell to clean inlets and outlets. Replaced the turbos and shop asked if I've get my valves walnut blasted they were so clean. When I went with catless dps the stocks after 10yrs looked brand new running this through with the car on.

yeah you can just take the charge pipe off and move the intake backwards and it gives you enough room to get in there. Personally I just use a fuel induction cleaning system so I don’t have to disassemble everything, just plug it in one of your vacuum lines in the intake/chargepipe :)

Damn my G! Great video as I'm over here in Maryland only to find out no shops in Washington, DC or outside the Washington, DC Area does Walnut Blasting - contrast to nearly all shops in Southern California. Like the only thing they offer is BG Servicing which isn't ideal for our valves. However, right now I will put this on hold due to replacing my serpentine that got ate up today with ultra-shredded rubber strings being lodged in my alternator - right after I removed my GTR Injectors in my Infiniti Build like Nitish21 in Canada. Smh. This is why we can't have nice things. That said, if I do decide to relocate to Florida for work we should defo link up. Simply because we rep the N54 Gang whether your single turbo or upgraded twins and other goodies.
