Update!!! I was wrong about the fuel line, if you guys buy the manifold it has a port close to cylinder 5 which will allow you to plug in the line thats supplied, sorrry 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I have never seen nothing like this - I am glued to watching and wish i lived in the same country as you guys i would bring my e92 320d M sport. Where i live in Wales in the UK we do not have shops who do anything like you guys just dealerships or should i say stealer ships. I am trying and after spending nearly £13,000 pounds it was a lemon when i bought it. But i love the car and value watching others to better my own understandings and skills.

I thought about buying the cast valve cover - but ended up cheaping out and buying an OEM one from FCP Euro and just using their lifetime warranty instead.

It’s all on what you want and like. If you want to show off your engine bay with a little touch, cast, billet or carbon would be the answer. If you just want the lifetime warranty advantage, then what you did is the way to go. I just wish someone comes up with something different for N55s 🤷🏼‍♂️

I'm actually getting ready to do the same thing on my n54 135i except with the docrace manifold. Video came just in time as I had no idea what ports VTT was talking about lol. Think I may use your greased rag idea but I may also painters tape the cam so nothing can slip under it.

That fuel line goes in between cyl 5 and cyl 6 runners on the manifold. There should be a port on the fuel rail for you to put the AN fitting to run the line there. That’s how mine is set up. I have the same port injection set up

There isnt a spot for a fitting on the rail, which is why i said the line needs to be fixed

@@SwapDepot your rail had the port I believe. Paused at the 17:42 mark and from the top of the rail you can count down 5 injector spots and you see another really close to 5 that doesn't follow the injector spacing.

Hi i have a 2008 bmw 535xi and i replaced the valve cover gasket and the oil filter housing gasket but when i do a pull on 2nd gear the car smoke from exhaust blue smoke this happened after changed the valve cover help

So I just redid my VC and gasket I’m thinking on getting new injectors but idk how worth it would be considering the index 12s cost 3.4K would you recommend going port injection route instead if so do I need a controller as well to run?

There is no avoiding that price, just have to bite the bullet, port injection doesn’t replace direct injection, its additional fuel for high hp cars

What do you do with the sensor that’s on the Hose that goes from the valve cover to the inlet in the back of the engine when you delete the PCV and put a catch can in ?….just block the opening and leave the sensor wire out?

You can leave it disconnected from fuel or connect the fuel line, doesnt matter

Ha! Couldn’t fit the damn manifold because the plastic stock inlet didn’t give me clearance so I guess this has to wait until the new turbos and inlets get in! 😅😓

Sorry new to N54 . This port injection mod gets rid of the di so you never have to do walnut blasting again ? How reliable is this and is it worth the investment.

Its additional fuel, doesnt get rid of DI, you dont really have to do walnut blasting because the injectors will clean the valves when they spray, very reliable and definitely worth it if you want to make power

Head ports dont have to be plugged if you are just doing the intake manifold

Ok I understand you speed up the video when u was removing the intake manifold I get that no problem, but you didn’t have to speed up the video when u was putting the manifold together with the injectors you didn’t have to speed it up when you was porting the head like these are the things I wanna see, I’m just disappointed.
