I find pressing the nib down for a few seconds at a time is a better technique than rapidly pressing the nib up and down to activate or refresh a paint marker

Oh also for those concerned about the Posca prices, I've had some of mine for over 10 years and they're STILL just as juicy and lovely as the day I bought them. So prorate THAT over time! No drying out (as long as you always cap them) and they're super durable. In addition, you don't NEED all the colors, imo. Black, white and some primaries are an excellent start! 😁

So surprised to find out that the postila pens are made by Sailor (13:04)! They are a reputable pen maker and ink maker; one of the Japanese big three for higher end fountain and fude pens, although lesser known than Pilot. They definitely know their craft when it comes to fountain pen ink, and now from your video it seems like they're doing a great job in making paint markers too.

daiso dollar store supplies are the best - i still haven't found another eyebrow pencil as pigmented, smooth and long lasting as my daiso one! i also had a ton of their stationery supplies back when i attended college at sf state, so i'm not surprised those markers performed so well!

I have the Posca white with a fine tip to use for highlights on colouring. It doesn't sink into watercolour as much as the Uniball Signo (which I also have and love). I had been considering getting more paint markers. However, with your review, I think I'll look at the Poscas for the different nibs including fine and extra-fine but dollar store ones for the medium bullet. Since I'm in Canada, too, the dollar (loonie) store here might even have the same brand, maybe, hopefully. But you do show that it's definitely worth trying whichever ones my dollar store has. Sometimes extra cost doesn't mean extra good or extra value.

I have a white juice paint pen that I used to use to draw little shines on my Furbies eye chips. It worked okay, but then I got my hands on a white Posca marker and MAN. I was blown away with how well it worked. I only ever needed to use a single coat and it was very nice and opaque! Just giving my personal experience with two of the brands in this video!

The Juice Paint pens have appeared kinda recently here in Sweden under the name PINTOR. I seem to see packs of them not so much with art supplies as Posca are but more around office supplies or hardware stuff. Maybe they're marketed similarly in other countries?

I love me some Pilot! I carry Precise RTs at clinicals, I keep a Frixxion (erasable) pen in my wallet, and I use Frixxion highlighters for school. I use refill cartridges for the Precise and Frixxion pens instead of throwing the whole thing away. I have a couple of the Metropolitan fountain pens and I would *love* a Vanishing Point fountain pen someday. Pilot also makes some gorgeous bottled inks for fountain pens!

i love watching your videos and found this one i worked in a office supply store and at a office fair the sales represantation of edding (well known german brand) told us that most of the people using the pens wrong. you have to push down and WAIT till the liquid comes down... not push push push cause the paint only float while its down and the tip dont get destroyed that easy 🤓 🤔 maybe its helpfull for anybody 🤷‍♀️ and i have to admit since he told me that iam always doing it like this 🙈

If you are an artist working on paper or caves; Posca Pens. If you are a crafter working with mixed media or random materials; Postila Pens. That's what I got from this.

Posca pens are definitely my favs ❤ If the marker it starts to ends its fill, i use a drop of water to refill it, and its starts to write again. 😍 when i was 12, i was in love with gold and silver posca pens! Definitely still are my favs because on my backpacks that colours were wonderful, especially on colored backpacks. ❤ #nerdeficationsquad #neverendingsaltiness
