Another reason for the parachuting could be the lift of the front suspension under acceleration as the rear compresses. May be put holes in the black portions of the back of the body to let the air escape. it all is in the tuning .

All jokes asides, this Short course Truck is actually a clone of the Helion Select four 10SC. This is good news for you because it means you can have the option of buying cheap VKar racing parts online or buying Helion parts from your local hobby store which may cost more but means you may not have to wait.

Bit of friendly advice... Turn your D/R down so that the steering won't be so sharp. I have a Traxxas UDR with the 34T pinion on 6S, and I turn the dual rate down to less than 15% for straight speed runs on cement. Over 40mph with 100% Dual Rate on cement, straight, is pretty difficult to do. With a 15% dual rate I can hit 64mph on a fresh set of 6S (2x3s Serial) batteries, straight run on cement. Also, might help to find a wider area, and about twice the length. Just an FYI from a long time RC user of many surface and air RC models.

I know this is an older video but I noticed something useful..if you have body lift issues in the nose, this model can easily be adjusted for it by moving the front shock lower mount to a different hole closer to the tire, thereby lowering the nose. This will also stiffen the suspension which is good on pavement but not for off-road.

That's unfortunate that you're having issues with Thaxxas. I've owned RC vehicles from a lot of different manufacturers and seem to always come back to their products. They're not perfect and some of their products seem to be overpriced, but overall my family has more fun and less problems with the majority of the RC vehicles we buy from them.

It has a Bison frame, which means it's a Hellion, which makes it's awesome, Buy the Hellion replacement parts and RPM hops up's and whoop some Laxxis butt!!!!! I did that with my FS racing hydroplaning MT and it's awesome. Did it with my Bison too.

Question I recently pick up an old rtr RC10 T3 I built it an it came with another LRP esc, it’s brushed I’m new to electric’s normally deal with nitro but anyways, long story short it was slow tried different gearing different brushed motor said screw it went brushless I got a Hobbywing EZRUN combo with the max10 ecs & 5400 kv brushless motor I wired everything up set my end points on my esc an everything seemed find I’m still running nimh batteries I’m going to get lipos tomorrow, but the thing is once I set the car on the ground with 25% throttle it drives fine but anything after that 25% my steering cuts in an out an so does my throttle but when it’s off the ground with no load on the tires everything is ok an I disabled LVC also cause the manual said since I’m running nimh batteries do that an that might solve the problem but it didn’t, would you have a clue to what the problem might be ?

Add stiffer weighted shock oil in the rear and it will keep the back end up under top speed. As well you can lower the suspension arm travel in the front and rear to crest a lower profile. And you’ll get about 3-5 more mph

I see you did such. Great run! Laxxas can't hang at all these days. They have to use law to silence competition. Arrma Senton for a SCT for $60 more will get 50mph. I've sold all my Laxxas Trash but the single one that was my first truck. And I have way too much $ in it now to get any money back. We live and learn. Marketing is powerful.

Love how simple y'all's review videos are. Good for purchase decisions. You do know, however, that a consumer grade GPS speedometer only measures horizontal speed. So flipping the car would not effect the measurement of top speed. If you put it on a rocket and shot it directly at the satellites at 500mph it would appear as if the rocket was doing a fraction of it's actual speed if anything at all.

I think the reason the car goes airborne is because the cover doesn't go past the front fender and air goes right in and lifts the car up.

I'm 6:45 in....maybe if you do speed tests, turn down the steering d/r to get more control. Nascar drivers' steering wheels only move a slight amount because at high speed, a sharp turn of the front wheels, makes cars go sideways. So, maybe try thinking like a Nascar driver next time, and hope this helps!

Please consider putting your batteries in the other way please. Most crashes happen in the front of the car and your battery pack will slip forward more likely and wreck the wire leads and cause a battery fire. It's better for the butt of the battery to get shoved into the front of the battery tray when a front impact happens 🙂 Hope this helps bro. Safety first. ❤️👊😎
