Cheapest DIY Budget Friendly 500w Solar System With Redodo 12v 200Ah Plus Lithium Battery

From the shadows, it looks as if you maybe should have mounted the solar panels on the roof to the left of what you show in the video. Am I seeing that right? I guess it all depends on what time of day it was when you shot the video, LOL! I've been drawing up a solar system to keep my 2 computers powered 24/7 with enough reserve capacity to keep them going for 2 days with no sun... WOW does it get expensive when you need that reserve capacity... and that is just for a 350 watt load!

I would say yes because they are really energy efficient. This system powers a 12,000 btu dual hose stand up ac unit with no issues. It pulls roughly 1200w when fully running and if stayed fully running without cutting on and off when temps are met. Then it would drain this 20kwh system in about 16hrs without any solar.

the transfer switch doesn't have the relays physically connected inside so it could fail very badly and start a fire.

Idid not understand what the yellow and black box (transfer switch?) was for? What does it do for your system? I understood everything else. Thank you.

When the battery gets too low it automatically switches to grid power, when the battery regains enough charge it automatically switches back to solar. You can set the parameters for when you want it to switch. It protects you from losing power and from draining your battery to 0%. To increase your lithium batteries life, you want to keep them between 20%-90%

Yes it would probably be more important for you to have one than me. I can drain this battery to 0% without damaging. That can not be done with AGM batteries. I believe 50% SOC is the lowest without damaging them.
