Great idea for a video. A lot of new gamers would find this super helpful. I've talked some buddies out of getting their kids these kinds of prebuilts because they're just dead ends. I kow you can find a lot of videos for beginning gamers but it's nice to see an up-to-date one, especially with that Victus pc that's pretty popular. Good to have a video to point them to for it explaining why. If you want to expand on it a bit in another video - you brought up the XMP overclock on the memory but there are a ton of newbies who don't even know there's a BIOS let alone there can be an XMP option! You have to find RAM that runs your targeted speed at 1.25V. Those boards don’t support XMP, and even if XUT did get you to 3200MHz you’d still be limited to CL22 at best. I’m thinking a top down Noctua LP cooler would work with DIMMs with a lower profile. The PSU has a 500W replacement, though I’m not sure if HP has them in stock anymore for about $180 to $200. To sum it up, you’re correct. Outside of adding more RAM at JEDEC timings, and more storage this is a unit that you buy as is.

Hey brah. I purchased the 15l with a 500w psu. Would upgrading to a 4070 be okay (uses 200w) or a 4070 super (uses 220w) for example. A tech youtuber said for a 500w psu, anything under half, in this case, 250w should be okay to upgrade. I want your opinion. I like the compactness of this pc.

I have this with r 7 5700g rtx 3060 12g and a 500 psu..I love it! a little concerned with using this in the summertime as it runs hotter.. I may up grade the cpu cooler for sure after the warranty ends

I get 70 fps on average in gta 5 on 1080p maximum settings (except grass that is on high). What resolution was you playing on? I have the hp victus with a i5 9400 and 16gb ddr 4 and gtx 1650 zotac oc and 512 gb nvme. I only have 300 watts psu and dont know if it can handle anything like a 3060 or rx 6600 but im getting pretty good fps that hovers around 45-50 fps in tripple a games at medium settings.

Did you try to use the Intel XTU program to see if you could up the power on the CPU? In the Alienware system I was using as my main gaming rig for a while (with an i5-11400f), I used XTU to up the CPU power to 95W-100W. I could up the TDP higher, but I found I could get the full turbo speed at all times while gaming in the 95-100W power range. At the default 65W, the CPU would downclock by 4-500MHz after the turbo window expired.

I got this pc with 5600g and rx 6400 for 300 dollars. I have 3 of them, I got them for my kids. Got them all for 300 a piece. It's good for entry gaming. I think 300 was a good deal.

i got this computer for like 40 dollars its a g2020 with 4gb of ram 512 hhd and i wanna upgrade this thing (im from philliphines ) can you help me on what can i do to make this run games in a stable fps? also can i upgrade (change)my cpu?

Without changing the motherboard, you're limited to what it supports. In your case, if you're talking about a g2020 intel cpu, it looks like that might be ddr3 memory and cpu's that fit the LGA 1155 socket. Your motherboard chipset would also have to support the cpu. It might be worth it if you have access to some second hand parts for really cheap, but don't expect to do much gaming beyond really old games and indie games.
