This is by far the cheapest and best way to convert the G920 or any other wheel with a similar base to a quick release 350mm wheel

its interesting he has a four screen expensive fancy sim rig setup and a g29 wheel. i would have upgraded my wheel before the rest, i just went from a g29 to a t300, the difference is amazing.

@@shiros4ki-1 t300 has stronger ffb, more detailed ffb, less deadzone in the centre, less notchy feeling to ffb, slightly more wheel rotation (1080 vs900 degrees). but most importantly and most noticeable the wheel rotation is faster, which makes it great for drifting, whereas the g29 is very very difficult to drift. i actually dont notice much of a difference for everything else (there definitely is still a difference though) its mostly drifting where its noticeable. otherwise its not really worth the upgrade imho. as the t300 is well over double the price in my country (at that price might as well just get the fanatec dd - the best of the best. but they dont ship to my country...). i mean, the h pattern shifter for the g29 was $59nzd for me, but the t300 (thrustmaster) h shifter is over $300nzd... ridiculous. (suffice it to say i upgraded to thrustmaster wheel and pedals, but NOT h shifter. that is a ludicrous price. i got a shifter off aliexpress instead.

Or just buy a wheel adapter for the g920 for about 20usd. Mines made of metal and I don't need to drill holes into anything. It's just bolt on and play. Only downside is it make the wheel about a half inch closer to you which isn't that noticable

hello good video, im doing the first bit the 3d printed part and 350mm wheel, i was worried about weight.. but you have the same wheel almost and you have that added weight of the qr part on the wheel and the part on the base... im feeling more confident about this now thank you.. roughly on a scale of 100% how much ffb have you lost going to 350mm and the extra weight?

what size is the omp wheel? im looking at an aftermarket wheel for my rig but dont want to go too big for many reasons. is that a 330mm wheel or a 350mm? im looking at 330mm seems to be the sweet spot. good for rally, good for street/ circuit racing/ drifting etc. big but not too big.

I didn't realise to be honest but you're right. I think I payed about £150 with shifter from currys about a year ago. Just keep eye on facebook marketplace I'm sure you will find one cheap

I have a similar setup with a cheap even heavier quick release from Amazon works pretty good actually been using it about a month or two i was worries at first about even putting just steering wheel on but it works good and when I turn the wheel on its actually easier on it with the quick release then with the stock steering wheel

Just make sure to not plug your wheel in when your steering wheel is still on with the quick release let it do its startup and then do it
