Cheapest Wall Mount 17 Fishing Rod Holder using Recycled Materials #diy 😎👌🔥
So I needed some extra space for my rods that would be cheap, functional and look nice while remaining out of the way. Not much to ask, but here is my solution made from a piece of old fence board someone had thrown out. I had everything else I needed, so it cost me nothing but about an hour of time from start to finish. Anyway, this is an incredibly cheap project for anyone looking for some extra rod storage space.
I went for a very basic and rustic finish using wax, obviously there are many ways you can finish wood: Staining, painting, laquer, varnishing, shellack, oiling, bleaching, burnishing, whitewashing, pickling, inlay, or even ebonizing... 🤔 I've seen some people paint the grain of the wood in really nice colors for a great effect, or you can even go as far as getting a more exotic wood, acrylic, plastics, MDF... either way, I am just sharing a quick and easy idea that you can modify to suit your taste. Thanks for watching. Hope this has helped, feel free to ask any questions or tell me about your fishing rod storage solutions-Best Wishes! 1💙
I was lucky enough to find my wood and have the supplies, but the tools I used for this project can be found here:
Wall anchors (these actually advertise “maximum hanging weight of 66 pounds." I've used them for some incredibly heavy bookshelves as well as paintings and have never had an issue. They are so easy to work with, that I highly recommend them.): amzn.to/3xg0Lyd
Diablo Hole saws: (these are the model I used, love how easily you can install and change these out): amzn.to/4cFwJnE other available kits: amzn.to/43HOmPL
Howard Feed-N-Wax: amzn.to/43DIozi
As always, can’t recommend them enough, Milwaukee tools: amzn.to/3PESP00
