This looks like a great place to spend the winter. The south west is one of the prettiest wilderness in the United States. I was in a similar landscape in Las Vegas and the mountains changed colour depending on the time of day. My only concern is the possibility of rattlesnakes. Do you need foot wear with high uppers for protection against snake bites? Probably wouldn’t be a bad idea! I hope that the guy who backed his rig into a bushy campsite under a tree hasn’t had any encounters with rattlesnakes. Snakes tend to hide out in bushy spots for protection. On that note I give all wildlife respect including snakes. Even the venomous ones as they are part of nature. In Ontario, Canada where I live we have the Massasauga Rattlesnake which is on the endangered species list. The snake can be found in the Georgian Bay; French River; and along the Lake Erie shoreline in Ontario.

Hi there Bob Wells - wow so many videos to watch! It gets a bit confusing - I've been on the road for a while but just found your channel a couple months ago but boy I sure wish I'd found you before I started off. I learned a lot on my own - had to of course. But it's all good. I don't have solar - I use my generator and it powers everything - A/C, M/W everything. Are you still going to Enrenberg in winter?

Bob, you are great! Helping people, like this, is just wonderful!! Your directions are phenomenal! This community of Nomads are very fortunate to have you. Bob Wells the legend!! I will never be a part of this group, but I enjoy watching all your videos! It’s now 2024 and it’s horrible if they raise the rent to $600/month. Creed will ruin this. But, when no one comes, anymore, they’ll lower the price!! Mark my words!

Hey Bob. I have not started the nomad life, but I live rent free and utility free at the place I work...with permission. So I understand the freedom and cost reduction. I am moving toward a van life, because it is so appealing. I just want to thank you for everything you do to help others start this life and successfully live it. I have followed you for some time and know you are essentially an introvert, but it is quite evident that you have a big heart for people. You are loved and appreciated. Good stuff! Thanks Bob. I do have a question on parking near trees. Trees would suggest there is water available to the trees and water may be available due to flash floods in the area surrounding the trees. It would be great to watch a video concerning when it is OK to park near trees in the desert. Carolyn was talking about gullies with vegetation as being a no-no as they are probably flooded periodically. Maybe these trees with vans parked close by have deeper root systems.

@@davechristian7543 Bob may come across as an extrovert, but he's quite the opposite. Other than the formal gatherings like the RTR, he prefers to camp alone or in small groups in the tribe. A video like this would have fans swarming his camp to see him. (See 30:06, good example). He is generous and gives graciously of his time. But like many of us, he prefers to be alone.

Bob...here's a wonderful surprize for you. The last exit before the Arizona border is Riviera Dr. Its 3 miles to the end of that road and it used to be all dirt. The whole road is residential. At the end on the left is what looks like private road. Turn left there. Take it to the end. Its magic and no one knows its there. 29 miles of what they call slews that go off the Colorado river . Its beautiful and lush and green and the best fishing you've ever seen if you like that sort of thing. Find someone with a little motorboat and launch there, Be very careful to know where you are though. I've gotten lost in there many times. As you motor through, you'll see little mini beaches where you can picnic ect. Its amazing. Message me if you find it. Have fun. Brenda

Hi Bob, We had to leave the RTR after just a couple of days...definitely sooner than I wanted to (I wanted to see 'The Slabs' before heading home). We are coming back down the end of Feb for a couple of weeks and I would like to get our solar done at that time. Could you tell me the name of the outfit in Flagstaff that you suggested in this video for solar components? We are leaving MT on the 24th and am wondering if you are aware of someone that is good with solar that will likely be there at that time for an install? I was visiting with an individual who was at the RTR who does 'van builds' and solar that offered to do my solar if I could stay a couple more days (I couldn't). If it helps you to know who I mean, he said his shop was about an hour and a half away from Quartzite. He got my number and said he texted me his contact info, but I'm not seeing it on my text log. I hope to get to meet you if you are still in Eherenberg at that time. I think we had about a two sentence conversation at Q'zite. You were on top of your van doing a shoot for a vlog, I asked you where I could drop off the firewood, you told me and that was it :) I did get to see you at the morning meeting at the fire pit the next morning and that was the last I saw you HA~* Anyway, if you anticipate being around Ehrenberg at that time and/or you could help me with the other questions it would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, take care. Peace, Russ~* 1Jacklalanne@gmail.com
