I worked in a jewellers for like 5 years and we had quite high profit margins on sales, so we could afford leeway on the price. I always refused to budge with people like this though. If you were a return customer I'd do my best to sort you out with a discount, but if you were a dude like this I wouldn't take a single penny off. I'd have people come in to buy a £20 watch and they would haggle with you over the price. Literally to the point were some people would even ask for 50p off... absolute madness. Then you wouldn't see them again. Then we had customers who'd spend 40k a year in the store and not once ask for a penny off. I absolutely detested people like Abdul. Another story- in my first month I had a guy come in and buy a watch for like £20. 4 years later same guy comes in complaining that his watch isn't working... I honestly couldn't believe he was serious. I nearly laughed in his face. The battery had died which is natural for cheap watches especially over that timeframe... guy REFUSED to pay for me to change the battery and sat and argued with me for nearly an hour about how it was our responsibility to cover the cost. Did he think batteries have an infinite lifespan? The cost for an in-store battery change was £10 and he sat and argued about not paying but was refusing to leave the store until his battery was changed. I had like 10 other customers waiting to be served so eventually I had to cave in and do it for him. I fixed it and just handed it to him with no charge and told him never to come back to the store again. Admittedly, it was slightly unprofessional on my part but I had so much more important work to do and I couldn't get rid of the guy. He threatened to complain about it on Facebook but nothing ever seemed to come of it... I looked up his account details on the computer and in 10 years the man had spent a grand total of £50. For comparison, one of the better customers had spent over a million in that same time period and never once asked for discount. Madness. Again, I didn't mind doing discount even if you weren't spending millions. Like, if a one off customer came in to spend a few hundred/thousand on a watch or jewellery for a special occasion I'd always work with them. Haggling over pennies is another level of insanity.

3:30 As someone that had worked at a gas station for a few years you CAN NOT just change the price of gas for someone. 1. you are competing / comparing the prices of the surrounding area. 2. HR has to approve the change. 3. if you change it for one, either you are losing your job, or everyone else that comes in wants it cheaper. Also contrary to popular belief, gas stations do not make much off gas sales, its the candy, dinks, alcohol, and Tabaco that bring the money. So when we say we do not need you to get gas because you wanna be cheap or a ass hat about the price, we mean it. Gas station employees do not get paid to enough to deal with this shit.
