My father also gave me an Air King from 1968. I'm so privileged. It's a 5500 and I absolutely love it. I've been wearing it daily since 1989. However, I picked up the Tudor FXD Marine Nationale and it is my favorite watch in my collection (I used to require dates on all my watches, but since most dates are very difficult to read and impossible to read without taking off my glasses, It has become less important of a factor, than fit, feel, dial legibility, and personal connection).
