I’m struggling with fishing around Brunswick. I tried the sheepshead at Blythe with no luck. I may try fishing like this Saturday

I’m no sheepshead expert but find a creek, pitch a Texas rigged live shrimp up current and drag it back in bottom slowly…you’ll catch fish. The only problem is you may catch 20 non-keepers for 1 keeper so bring a lot of bait! Good luck

​@Chit_126 if your struggling to catch sheephead wait till the water slows down going and coming they may bite better on one or the other. Get you some mud crabs. They hide under rocks and around oysters they are brown. They are a little tougher. Use a live number 2 live bait hook . Put you a large split shot about 6 inches above it. You will feel the bite better

How deep is the water in that creek?

Some pockets were 6-8 ft or better, even on low tide but those last 2 reds we caught i imagine came out of about 4 feet of water.

I wish I had a boat. 😢 Are any of there any spots in Brunswick you would recommend for people qithout access to a boat?

I’ve never tried it personally but there are a lot of people that fish the pier on Jekyll and the fishing pier on the Mackay River on St. Simon’s. It’s a decommissioned bridge that is now only used for fishing.
