I know FTMs with NB tends to get really scared when they get sick but as long as you get them checked and it’s not anything serious, give their body a chance to do what it’s meant to do. It’s better not to rush to meds at the first sign of a mild fever or a little runny nose. Find ways to keep them comfie as possible (cold towel or humidifier, etc) and as long as it’s not crazy spiking fever or anything seriously concerning, their little systems are pretty strong and resilient and it’s okay to let them fight a little on their own.

I live in wisconsin so our winters are like yours, I use a humidifier or you can put a big pot of water on the stove and simmer it, adding some aromatics like orange peel & cinnamon makes the house smell nice too 😊

Hispanics also do a big first birthday renting a venue and all. It’s honestly more for the parents and the photo memories so make sure you get a photographer ❤❤

I think it's so nice to have those big celebration parties for families that are close & really happy to see each other. These gatherings in my family are more just obligation lol nobody really wants to go but they make themselves.. so we try to limit parties 🙃

I agree the cold weather is so dehydrating. Babies will drink extra. It was -50 in some parts of Canada 🥶🤗

Children always make adults sick when they have colds I remember my parents telling me when they were young every parent would make their child back then catch the chickenpox from any neighborhood kids who had it so they would get it done and over with and build their immune systems 😂😅

Your parents were right. I caught chicken pox at age 16 and some of the scars remind. It took me out for a whole month. It was the worst 😭

I think out of 10 yrs with kids I can remember 3 times, but dayquul saved the day. My kids were the one got sick first.

RSV is nasty, it put my 2 1/2 year old in hosp. with pneumonia for almost a week. With babies, it always gets really bad right before they get better if you're doing all the right things and they're hydrated enough. Always the right thing to get checked out when not sure though x
