Check Engine Light On & Off / Temp & Water Gage Problems (12.7 Detroit) - Part 1

I have same situation on my 60 series glider kit 12.7 ! Temp goes to 200 then engine light comes on but temp wont last , it goes down quickly then everything nomal but l can catch when we plug in the computer for diagnostic it only says oil & coolant was running high ! Would it be the same as yours ??
