Technically it is possible, it just a media you can access your modem from other end using modem IP.

Hola Buen Video Per tengo una duda no se si me la puedan aclarar si compro 2 medias converte verdad uso una en la salidad principal de mi internet de mi RB 3011 cuando yo conecte la salidad del RB a mi media converter va a salir la configuracion del servidor eso lo se pero la pregunta real es si mas adelante yo montara unas cajas con unos splitter podria conectar ONT a el media converter configuradas en PPPoE y si se autentificarían en el servidor mikrotik sin problemas.... en caso de seria bueno que se hisieran un laboratorio sobre eso esta super interesante....

আইপি এর সাথে নেট স্পীড এর কোন সম্পর্ক নাই, আপনি স্পীড এর আইএসপি এর সাথে কথা বলতে পারেন আর অন্য কোন রাউটার থাকলে সেটি দিয়ে একবার চেক করতে পারেন ।

Sir, I have a question. You have connected the media converter from Tx of A to Tx of B. Is this what is called a Single Mode connection? recently I purchased a TP-LINK Gigabit Media Converter MC210CS which claims to be Single Mode in the website. But when I got the pair, it will not light on the FX port until the Tx of A is connected to Rx of B PLUS the Rx of A is connected with Tx of B. I am confused how did you achieve to get the FX LED to be ON with just one cable fiber ? Does this vary brand to brand ?

this is one pair Media Converter Device name as A & B, its work as pair device, TX & RX, there is some other MC also For RX and TX separately, depends on your requirement you can choose this one or that one. this MC work nicely with in few Kilometer, yours one is right that is different type MC.

সবার প্রথমেই এটা বলি যে আপনার এই পোস্ট টি খুবই সাহায্যকারী। এবং এই বিষয়ে আমার একটি সমস্যা বলতে চাই। আমার এবং আমার একটি প্রতিবেশির বাড়িতে একই connection করা আছে। আমার বারি থেকে main connection router থেকে RJ45 হয়ে MC (media converter)এ, এবং তার পর MC থেকে হলুদ patch cable টি আরেকটি black fiber optic cable এ যুক্ত হয়ে প্রতিবেশির বাড়ি গিয়েছে। এবং সেখানে একই ভাবে কালো fiber optic থেকে হলুদ patch cable a এবং তার পর MC মারফত RJ45 হয়ে কম্পিউটারে ঢুকেছে। সমস্যা টি হল যে MC তে ছয়টি LED সর্বদা জ্বলা সত্তেও মাঝে মাঝে connection পাওয়া যাচ্ছে আবার মাঝে মাঝে পাওয়া যাচ্ছে না।

+jawahar uddin Thank you, yes right you are, two media converter doesn't make any internet connection, it just shows for example to check the media converter connection, Internet connections come from router which is connected to another router from ISP via optical fiber, For example, you have a Internet connection from router, A point and i need a connection from you B point ,, my distance is 900 Meter, in this case one media converter from your end from router lan port and the other Media converter is in my point pc or laptop or any router, so I'm connected with Internet from your router via MC.

We are used 10/100 MBPS TPLINK-MC110CS - 2 nos. for IP camera, below problems faced at site. The fiber cable distance is 2000mts from control panel to cameras location. The communication was failed between converter to converter through fiber cable single mode.(MC110Cs 2 Nos used) At control room tested through patch cable(3mts length) between converter to convertor its working fine. The fiber OPTIC cable continuity its good. Can you suggest the technical comments

try to splice again, check the cable routing path is it ok or not & finally check another Media converter device if available to you. check also Optical signal quality both end.

Please use single mode dual fiber multimedia converter... If the distance is long then also the camera dodnot show the view... It's my opinion .
