Hi great video. One remaining question from me, what device do you recommend to work with my data sim card so I can monitor the vehicle while it is off. Obviously I could leave someone's phone inside as a mobile hotspot, but that is not ideal. I know Blackvue has a "LTE" Module you can buy but I don't think you guys have an equivalent module. Would that Blackvue module also work with this or is there a 3rd party version you recommend. I am ready to buy but just need to figure out this last part! Thanks!

Hello there! We recommend using a MiFi Device or contacting your phone provider for an external hotspot suggestion.

Does it have to be connected to a hotspot to be able to do this?

Hi! The Thinkware Connected feature requires the dash cam to be connected to a hotspot to work and transfer data.

Hello Annette, Unfortunately, the U1000 currently can only use the cloud options and will not work with Thinkware Connected as it can only work with the Thinkware Cloud App.

Hello. I think I'm just overwhelmed by all the info, but what is the difference between the Connected App (Q1000) and the Cloud feature (U1000)?

Hello Hammer, The Thinkware Connected App for the Q1000 offers additional Cloud Features such as SOS Messaging, and Vehicle Status & Driving History.

Ive tried COUNTLESS TIMES with my Samsung galaxy S20+ AND everytime I scan the barcode or enter manually, keeps saying on the screen to CHECK THE CERTIFICATION NUMBER AND TRY AGAIN?????? I am successfully connected to the internet (flashing orange wifi light). I've tried scanning the box, barcode on front camera, registering via MAC, and manually typing it.. NOTHING WILL WORK

Hi! We're sorry to hear that you are having issues registering your dashcam. Please note that the smartphone used to set up the Internet connection on the dash cam cannot also be used as a mobile hotspot for the dash cam. A different hotspot device/smartphone is required.
