As a Californian who has been to Las Vegas a few times and Inverness a few times - you definitely got the better end of the deal. I do hope she had a good time in Vegas, just not my cup of tea 😊. Very nice video.

Working on that Scottish brogue. I’m catching every third word now. We have our Canadian accents but nothing quite as thick as the Scots. Scottish cheeks move differently. Inverness….that is one very grey city.

Thanks so much for the tour of Inverness. I've just got back from a weeks holiday there, staying in Muir of Ord. I visited Culloden - it's really worth paying to go in the visitor centre (or free for National trust members) there are lots of artifacts and theatre where you are stood in the middle of the battle. (I couldn't stay in there too long) The guides just come up and talk to you and really know their history. It's very moving. Clava Cairns were very atmospheric, especially in the rain :-) Did you go to Leaky's bookshop, amazing place with the huge wood burner. Also Ness Islands were a lovely walk.

It took a bit of digging because curiosity got the better of me and I finally figured out what Dr Black's Memorial hall was: Out is a 115-year-old building, originally built as a meeting hall for St Columba High Church. It's actually undergoing renovation and is being converted into a full-time performing arts centre.
