Catching up on some videos and watched this one today. Great views from a rather rare location for KZbin, as you said. Loved the visit to Captain Dixon's grave. That was a nice old cemetery. Enjoyed the waterfalls as well. You took a wee risk heading down that icy path.

Very interesting history. I looked on the OS map and noticed another tower called Scotstarvit Tower which is free to visit but not open until spring. Thanks for showing the snowdrops they seem very early.

Scotstarvit Tower is amazing!! It’s in one of our older episodes and you can just pitch up and wander around, there’s not a soul there.

That priory really is incredible, now and back in its early days. The mausoleum would have been elegant and with a view. Out of curiosity I followed your link to the video from 10 years ago. Very, very sad that Lady Mary’s Mausoleum was vandalized, including the coffins. I seem to say this often now but why do people do things like that?

If you ever go back, there is a dovecote that still standing on the property as well. There's a video by a couple, their channel name is Scottish Mudlarking. It's in their video if you want to get an idea of where it is and what it looks like. The first building you passed, where you heard the dogs and saw the apartments, used to be the stables. You can tell by the way the courtyard is set up.
@scotlandonashoestring6 күн бұрын
There are a few other buildings remaining. I visited them (including the Doocot), you’ll see them in a future episode :) Next week I’m looking a a few places where the family made their money. Thanks for watching!

Happy New Year to you, Bex, & DeNiro. I remember those chocolate covered marshmallow biscuits. They may still make them, but I forget what they were called on this side of The Pond. 🤔Maybe Mallo-mars? I didn't even realise you'd fallen until you turned the camera around. 😮😬 Glad you're unscathed. 🤗 You definitely earned the Lego display. 😉😁 I hope you're keeping safe & warm during all the winter storms. 🥶😬 We had a wee thaw over Christmas, but now the snow & cold is back, so I'm mostly tucked inside, which is fine. 😁 See you next time. 😍😘🤗☕🫖🍜👌👍👋

Growing up, a friend and I would scavenge military training areas after a training operation and find random stuff. Mostly bullet casing brass that was not picked up, C ration cans that was not opened, peanut butter, cheese, that kind of stuff.
