I am so sorry and heartbroken that yourself and your family has experienced this in our city and country. Truly the worst of our society was exposed and fully displayed to our shame. I am a white woman living in Hull with both Black and white children. We had hoped to attend the international carnival but it was cancelled due to the violence. I was appaled not just by the violence and racism but also by the following reaction from the public which focussed on the damage to propert rather than the terrifying impact of the situation for people of colour in our community. I have refugee friends in the hotel who are traumatised. My prayers are especially for your son that God surrounds him with great friends and teachers who will speak out against rascism of all kinds and that he will have no fear knowing that Christ is with him in the classroom. Be safe sister ❤ Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

May Allah's protection never cease from us. I was actually scared, too, on that Wednesday that they said the EDL were coming to London. I was reciting the prayers for protection while on the bus, coupled with the fact that I am a Black Muslim with HIJAB. Na the thing wey we wan eat we dey find, make we no meet the thing wey go eat us.😢

I just want to say that personally these things don’t surprise me. We are in the end times… Not to be negative but things will actually get worse. The only thing we have consolation in is that we dwell under divine protection and no harm shall come to us and everyone under our sphere of contact. Pray for our children remain under God’s protection. I’m just coming from work and the roads look deserted and police vans are everywhere.

I don’t know how and even how I thought about the creation and segregation of black colour and white human…….like how did the existence of both colour start that is always causing this racism about skin colours……..All shall be well!!
