This one hurt. Usually, I don't take notes to these videos (I just listen to them in the car or at the gym) but I felt convicted to ask myself "Where am I at with God?" My answers were riddled with fear, bitterness and anxiety. Your point on being focused on avoidance instead of pursuit struck me at my core. Gloating internally about how much I am avoiding doesn't do much in God's eyes if I'm still terrified to confront issues from the past. I appreciate your vulnerability with your audience. May God continue to bless your ministry.

This video is so needed. I’m so overridden with guilt if my past that I can’t look forward I’m stuck looking back. I’m so focused of avoiding sin and trying my best to ensure that I don’t fall into sin that I realize that I left God. The truth is that if I want to see transformation in my heart and my life I have to humble myself. I have to bring my very embarrassing and ugly past before God. I have to ask him for the courage and strength to look forward to stop caring for the obstacles the devil puts in my life rely on God. I have to look deep into my heart. I have to look at the deep crevices in my heart things I have not touched. I have to ask God in full belief that he will help me. I can’t keep relying on feelings to determine whether God is helping me. So I pray for me and for anyone reading this that you won’t let your guilt from your past keep you from getting redirection for your future. Don’t go to God with preconceived thoughts about what he thinks about you. Because I am one hundred percent sure the Bible says otherwise.

This happened to me when I went to work at a well known organization as their Children's Ministry Team Leader. I went in with the WRONG mindset. I went in thinking "why not do Children's Ministry and get paid for it?" I was thinking it was easy money but in actuality, it was the hardest time of my life. I went through depression and I felt so separated from God. My spiritual cup was empty and I could just tell I was being spiritually attacked through that time. I'm so glad God took me through that and brought me through it, it was a learning curve for sure! I'm now slowly but surely making my way through my calling and I am filled with joy at the possibilities. Thank you Jesus!

There recently was a young man who had a relationship with God who tried to pursue me and he was like “I have the gift of discernment and I like to talk about God” and was mansplaining the Bible to me rather than truly listening to understand what I said. I kept feeling uncomfortable and I realized it was because it didn’t seem like he sought Holy Spirit or had humility about himself in how he communicated. It also made me look at my pride like why do I feel the need to be “right” or for my knowledge to be the focus of this conversation and prove to him that I “know what I’m talking about.” I had to cut that off. 😂 Her story from the beginning helped me see this.
