You guys should plant Christmas Tree sprouts. And, every year that you cut one. You plant 2 more. That way, you have actual Christmas trees available.

Alex, I have to tell you, I just watched one of your videos on your other channel from 2 years ago. It was a video about breath holding spells. I am so SO so thankful for your video. My little guy (2 years old) had his second spell today. It was horrific. He stopped breathing. I have been searching for information. You shared your emotions about how you felt during your daughters spells and it helped me process today. I just wanted you to know this. Thank God for you.

The area where you collected the tree from would be the ideal spot for a three sided structure with seating to use as a retreat/prayer spot. To take a book and picnic up there and spend an hour breathing in the fresh air, enjoying the quiet.

It's such a wonderful idea to use nature as a playground. When our kids were young we lived on 2 acres in the forest. We went through an ice storm where we lived in Canada and we lost at least 100 cedar trees on our property. My hubby used a lot of the limbs and branches to build a pirate ship for our sons birthday party that summer. It was a huge hit and remained a play structure for our kids for several years after.

I’m sure you’ve had it up long enough to know by now, but watch out for critters in the tree! We’ve had eggs of critters hatch after being in the warm house a few days… we always rinse off the tree now and then leave outside for a few days post cutting before bringing it in. We had a farm growing up and the year after the bugs hatched we only had a tree outside 😂

You guys should buy live potted trees that you can plant in the spring! (After they spend the winter inside your house with their roots attached, added this clarification to hopefully make sense 😊) Then your kids could go to their own Christmas Tree Forest as they grow up!! How cool would that be? You could put twinkle lights in them every year. How magical!

I think Mimi should have a channel or a page where people could get inspiration or advice on decorating. We have a cider growing in my parents backyard. As a kid I asked my mom if we could put it in the house. She always said no and something along the lines of we can enjoy it outside. It’s probably 20 feet tall now. I think it was smaller than me as a child but I’m not 100% sure. I love it when Phillip gets his big laughing “fits”. Watching Cassidy with the chickens was so cute. I think a play structure would be fun for the girls. I always wanted a covered wagon to play in

Vermonter who taps her trees. I can't remember the last time we bought syrup from a store. And we do it the old fashioned way with a tap and metal bucket. A lot of sugarers up here are now using a pipeline, but there is nothing like the traditional way of doing it. We rebuilt our sugar house this past summer...we are all set for sugaring season. Going to be a good winter with lots of snow up here....going to be a prosperous sugaring season come February.

We call your type of Christmas tree a juniper. (Not sure if that's correct or not, but I think cedars have more flat foliage and stringy bark.). We have quite a few growing on our property and they have small bluish colored berries. Anyway, they are VERY prickly and can leave behind tiny slivers on your hands if you don't wear gloves- I learned that the hard way!
