December 2021 Update: BAM will be discontinuing at the end of 2021. They will enter into a “hibernation period” for about 3 months and then around April they are looking to create a new platform that is totally compliant. But they can’t do that unless people continue to pay the $33.33 a month because Aaliyah can not afford to support the company out of pocket anymore since she put in $250,000 of her own money into the BAM platform and lost $130,000 from a retreat that had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. The reason they are shifting away from the BAM platform is because of compliance issues. Enagic contacted them and said that the BAM platform is not compliant. Distributors are not allowed to host a website that discusses Enagic or Kangen unless it is an “Enagic EWS website”. Their sales funnel links that are connected to videos they make about kangen are not compliant because they’re not allowed to share videos or marketing material at all in a way that makes money like with a sales funnel. Enagic found out about this a couple weeks ago and suspended all of Aaliyah's accounts and prohibited her from earning any income for 30 days. In order to get her accounts back, she has to shut BAM down and send proof that she did that to Enagic compliance. But also the BAM team had been discussing transitioning away from the breakaway movement brand for a couple months because the reputation is tarnished online. They are currently at 523 paying members which she said is a fraction of it used to be. Their new brand is going to be called “Net(Worthy)” which is for all network marketers affiliated with any company. This information is from a Vimeo video linked in an email sent out from BAM.

Such irony that Enagic would eat BAM up and spit it out via the creation of its own EWS platform. Slightly disappointed they went for the $30 monthly fee and didn't replicate Aliayah's angel numbers. Enagic and its professional distributors must have got so peed off that BAM was shilling their content and giving the product such a bad name. I suppose now BAM members are going to actually have to start selling machines as opposed to selling the supposed secrets of how to sell them. I see Aailyah has resorted to promoting Pat's clothing brand via clickbait describing their swinger lifestyle.

I worked with bacteria (including streptococcus) in my *entry level* bio class in college, and we tested it for antibiotic resistance and wrote a research paper about it... That is VERY entry level biology. Additionally streptococcus is a genus of bacterium, not a species. Meaning there are different species and strains including some that are non infectionous. What you said about vlogging was spot on!!! I did it for a short amount of time too and, because of the short time, I didn’t have a huge number of followers but was gaining quite rapidly but it wasn’t worth it. Instead of vlogging your life, you start living your life to vlog, doing things for the content instead of making content from the things your doing. I feel much happier being pulled back from my past social media presence. I hated having to always explain myself if I didn’t include every single detail and how people felt entitled to every detail. I didn’t want to deal with the negative stuff that comes along with it like the unavoidable criticism and hate that comes with that job. Kathleen...good on you for stepping out of vlogging. You are totally right. I've never done blogging or youtubing . My nearest experience of this is .... ..... when I was young , I started to dress up and behave in a certain way in order to be " liked" and " wanted " by loads of men. I was astounded at the difference in way people treated me. ......I ended up feeling like a fake doll. When ever I didnt look my best , they lost interest. So quickly I realised the only way I could keep people ..interested , was by living up to their expectations of me., ( yeah, the bad comments rained down, if I didnt perform) Very soon, I quit..and went back to looking and behaving normal and boring ...lol. I felt so much more liberated..and more real. I couldnt live in the fake world everyone wanted from me. So in some ways I see a similarity in blogging and social media efc. I totally understand how it must have been . I dont ever do video calls, as I notice people are being fake and behaving weird on them. ( not to say , many even keep looking at themselves on the screen ...its so pitiful lol ). Someone said , " social media is just a stage for us to perform ....nothing more " We can never be sure how much of it all iis true and genuine. My question is... ...why does everyone . Nearly ..EVERYONE .. ...feel they have to have a channel about themselves .... All the kids in school grow up wanting to be social media stars ... .... after all...it pays better. ( so what's the point in education? ) So many people have channels now ...its awful. Everyone is filming everything . God help us if we die on the road ... ...we would be filmed and end up on peoples youtube channel. It's a tough world now.

We live in a world that is so full of opportunists and scam artists that it boggles the mind. Combine that with a young idealists who are desperate for a good living but also want to do it in a sustainable way, and you have a recipe for scams. My own son is 24 and I worry about him falling into this type of "if I just do "x" I'll be golden" mentality. I think you can sum up your entire video in a few words - IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT ABSOLUTELY IS. Why can't more people see this? It's because of how these scammers and "influencers" present their lives. It's complete and utter bullshit, but it resonates with young idealistic people who are desperately looking for a path to success. According to this document, the median income for all US distributors in 2020 was $440 (median= half made more, half made less). Only 1/3 of distributors made more than $1,000 in the whole year. This is certainly better than some MLMs, but still clearly not amazing stats. 6A is considered a high rank in Enagic, it's like you've "made it" in the company once you reach it and it's promoted as being a rank where you make a lot of money. I know that this is anecdotic, so take it with a pinch of salt, but it is my first-end experience with Enagic and Kanger water. One of my neighbor has an Enagic device (not sure about the model, I just know that it is attached to his kitchen sink and filters water). He was advertising the device to me saying that it would produce some very acidic water (he said pH 2 water) that is able to kill bacteria and viruses. I am a scientist and I work with bacteria on the everyday basis, so I know for a fact that pH 2 is not sufficient to kill bacteria. I cannot say the same for viruses because I don't work with them. On the other end, the same neighbor sent me some 'informative' videos about kangen water, that was saying that the water processed by their filters was basic (about pH 8 or 9). This is probably because the video was from 3-4 years ago when the 'basic diet' was at its top popularity. This makes even less sense, because to my understanding this machine 'hydrogenizes' water with means adding hydrogen to the water and pH is actually a measure of how much hydrogen you have in the water (sorry for the very simple explanation). So the more hydrogen in the water, the more acidic the water is and the lower the pH is. Physically, it is impossible to add hydrogen to the water and make it more basic (pH higher than 7). So when my neighbor gave me a sample of kangen water (at pH 2 according to him), my little squirrel brain made me test the pH of the sample with litmus paper (the paper that changes color according to the pH of the liquids it comes in contact with). The result? The pH of the 'miracle ionized water' was 7, the same as the water we have in our building coming straight out from the tap (that I continue drinking for 2+ years without having any health problem and using no plastic bottles).
@matttunne27093 жыл бұрын
Great story, Thankyou for sharing. I know you mentioned that you have a science background, mine is in pool chemistry. We always used liquid re-agent or crushable tablets in a photometer to get an accurate ph reading, my understanding was that those paper strips were for testing ph values in more solid media (like food)or none opaque liquids. To add some more clarity to the 2.5 solution, it’s actually a sodium hypochlorite solution that is being generated by the kangen water ioniser and that’s the active ingredient. It’s the same that’s used to sterilise public swimming pools, like the ones I used to manage. I have seen hypo generation equal to 10ppm by the water machine, 8ppm is the target for super chlorination of a swimming pool. At this value only Protozoa will survive in the water. Happy to answer any further questions you may have, or clarify anything I have already said. Matt
@lacasalingadimoabit23173 жыл бұрын
@Matt Tune My background is bachelor and a master of science in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD in engineering and technology. Just a couple of problems that I have with your reasoning: litmus paper may be more adapted to solids and non-opaque liquids (btw water is non-opaque... Since it is transparent), but it should have indicated something close to 2. The other problem is that if you add a liquid with pH 2.5 (the one coming from the kangen machine) to a liquid at pH 7 (tape water), your final pH is something in the middle. And this is is basic high school chemistry
@matttunne27093 жыл бұрын
@@lacasalingadimoabit2317 Sounds like you really should know your stuff with that heady mix of science. However, your method is still flawed. “Chemical reactions other than acid-base can also cause a color change to litmus paper. For instance, chlorine gas turns blue litmus paper white; the litmus dye is bleached[2] because hypochlorite ions are present. This reaction is irreversible, so the litmus is not acting as an indicator in this situation. “ “Litmus” Wikipedia last edit 16th Aug 2021 Like I said in my earlier comment the hypochlorite solution is very strong and will interfere with the efficacy of the testing protocol, especially if you incorrectly use litmus paper. I’m uncertain you actually do know the science of water as pH (potential of Hydrogen) is the measure of Hydrogen in a sample more hydrogen higher the ph. Therefore a low value ph has less hydrogen and more oxygen. And… Coffee is the non-opaque fluid I was referring to. Not water. Please give your neighbour fair treatment by allowing another sample from him, both ensuring he has topped up his electrolysis enhancer and that you use a clean glass vessel to test in with a liquid re-agent. The chemistry of these machines is sound but fails when people who think they know better balls up the testing protocol.
@lacasalingadimoabit23173 жыл бұрын
@@matttunne2709 Look man, I give you the benefit of the doubt. And the fact that the machine of my neighbor was not working properly is a very reasonable explanation. But let's do like this. I still have a sample of the water my neighbor gave me. Tomorrow I will be in the lab and there I have a more accurate instrument to measure pH than Litmus paper. If I measure the pH of the water and the pH of the water is still 7 would you believe me? Moreover I tried to spray some water on my hand (my neighbor gave me the sample in a little spray bottle) and it does not 'feel' at pH 2. For my face, I use peeling solutions that are at pH 3.5 (so less acidic than kangen water) and it burns if I leave it on the skin for more than 3-4 minutes. It is definitely not the same feeling that I had spraying the hand with the sample water.
@matttunne27093 жыл бұрын
@@lacasalingadimoabit2317 I would be very interested in what results you see from your more accurate diagnostic gear, but without a reference sample from your neighbours machine you're really not able to draw conclusion from the change to the water. Some Town water supplies can be very high in chloramines and others not. Personally I wouldn't be testing the sample you already have, I trust my machine but will only use the 2.5 solution straight out of the machine. When you do that you can smell the difference in the sample, there probably is some residual hypochlorite in your older sample but it is a very volatile chemical in solution and is easily consumed by bacteria or organic material inside the container it is stored in. Plus, sunlight destroy hypochlorite readily, which is why Isocyanurates are added to outdoor swimming pools as stabiliser. Still, I love science so please do your experiment and let me know what you learn. ❤️

I would love to hear about it as I almost went to that retreat myself… and almost fell for the kangen scam at one point, as it was presented to me by two mutual friends of mine at the time. Now those two girls are actually super involved with the community and have become so disgustingly fake it’s comical at this point. Hearing other peoples stories is so helpful and reassuring after sort of psychologically “recovering” ,if you will, from being involved in this “sPiRiTuAl LoVe AnD lIGhT” shit show.

former bam member/affiliated kangen distributor here. around 22:00 you asked if anyone knows their community reaction, here it is - they dismissed it as much as they can and just referred to these claims as coming from haters🤣 most of them were like: just don't watch these vids and give these ppl attention!! bruh, watching these videos is called being informed. they wanted to stay blind🤷♀

Tried watching this before bed last night and I fell asleep because your voice is literally SO SOOTHING. The first time I heard about this company was back when I watched Alyse. The claims since then have become even more harmful. Do these people not care that they are potentially hurting people? It’s not even about money anymore. Telling someone with freaking CANCER “you can figure it out on your own terms” and not to go to the doctor is just disgusting. It makes me actually feel sick thinking about it. Please please do a video on Gaia TV!! I mean I will watch any video you make but I would love to see one on Gaia TV. ☺️ P.s. I love the voice you use when you are reading their Instagram posts 😂😭😩😂

I found that your videos on kagen water and the breakaway movement to be really spot on and I think a lot of other people did as well which is why it’s not being debated. I will say that the girl who reached out to me on social media to join The break away movement was really classy in her response to my rejection. She didn’t block me but she did defend against it being an MLM and pseudoscience and try to send me more videos explaining that which didn’t change my opinion. We are still social media friends we encourage each other’s small businesses and overall I was very impressed with the fact that after I said no to joining the movement she’s a part of, she still continued to have a social media relationship with me.

Your clients must be committed to change for healthier and your product must able to promote itself even without selling. Let their own experiences sell to them. Client experience matters. I focus on changing lives. You don't manipulate as it will comes back and bite you. Don't lie and admit if you're wrong and update your knowledge. Use all the data you want as long as you're changing lives for better without coheirce, you are doing good. I don't serve the company but my clients. Kangen people keep sharing your water and be kind but don't let people use you. Be wise. Free means not appreciated to most people. People value what they pay for. 😎

Hi there, I recently saw your videos on Kangen Water, and I can't thank you enough for helping me understand all this situation, I'm having a hard time getting my wife out this Kangen cult, I'm a software engineer but I love psychology, and there is a technique that you can use when selling a product where you ask the individual to imagine there ideals then you tell them that they can achieve them trough you, in that way they already did half the work convincing themselves, just an unethical use of psychology. I just wanted to add this to your research since I saw you wondering why when this one girl contacted you asked you for your the 3 top things that make you happy.

I just want to say that in my personal experience positive affirmations and allowing myself to receive helped me take actions for what is personally success to me. But it involved sitting with myself and exploring why I felt anxious about a consult call or what could be making me procrastinate to a level I wasn’t comfortable with. I do credit that reframing my thoughts more positively was extremely supportive in this. But this doesn’t happen in a day! Nor without kindness, patience and action. Step by step. But what they are doing is just disreputing a beautiful practice that could be incorporated to boost your self esteem, disregarding a consentual relationship between buyer and seller and promoting sick personal agendas like that polyamory class. This is not at all ok. Thank you so much for this thoroughly informative video

Hi Anna, this is probably the most random video recommended to me on KZbin but with relations because I have gotten a chance to meet one of the founders of BAM before they created it, we were all under a different MLM Group name but also promoting Enagic (Kangen Water) and would have weekly live facebook meetings/calls with members of the group. I was even considering of moving to BAM from the previous MLM most of the founders had come from because of certain "drama". Although I'm glad I decided not to push through with MLM entirely. Unfortunately, I did get kinda sucked into the whole "frequency" and "culty vibes" but it was when it was becoming too much did I just decide to leave the whole thing. Again, glad I did. Also want to say how much I enjoyed your reactions reading some of the messages and stories of those who are also selling Enagic and try to entice or convince you otherwise from your own rational way of thinking. Sorry I've only skimmed through parts of your video but did make sure to leave a like and comment. ^_^
