I was there that night. It was over 3.5 hours of pure emotional joy. By the time they finished with this song, most of us were emotionally drained. I personally, had to sit there afterwards, just to collect my thoughts. What a great celebration of 10 years together. Thanks for doing this one.

Misa does it all- With a pick, which she then tucks into her index finger when playing finger style and slap and pop.

MISA is the maestro of curling a pick into her index finger and switching from picking to slapping in about half a nanosecond. This is a farewell, show closing song for the fans to sing along with. So much emotion and meaning for those who know the song and an incredible display of Band-Maid's hard work and energy, as this was the 33rd song of the concert.

Kanami stated that she wanted to write an anthem song that allowed the audience to sing along with. With "Endless Story" she nailed it. Every GREAT song makes an emotional connection between the audience and the musicians. This is one of those songs. Saiki's heartfelt words to the audience and her improvised lyrics at the end of the song brought tears to a lot of fans eyes (including mine). It is just a beautiful song.

I really love how they started the song. First it's Akane, Bang! and then very edgy distorted guitars by Kanami and our little pigeon🐥, PO!, then, oh my, Misa! it's always so much fun to listen to her incredible bass line. I remember that the other reactor Alan siad after he saw the live in Chicago...Misa was, everywhere!

Misa plays predominantly with a pick. She'll also tuck the pick under her index finger to slap (and drop and catch it to resume picking with stunning ease). Often when they're playing acoustic she'll use finger style. Quite versatile is our assassin.

You can't "bottom out" with BAND MAID. They change genre's more often than a gas station changes prices. There is 11 years of music (and more to come!) with these ladies. Every song is a fresh new, uplifting breath of freshness that no longer exists on the radio. What you say about "surprises that change the game" exists in every single BAND MAID song.

Welcome back to the Maids. Great song and glad you "get it" about Band-Maid. This is song 33, from their 10th Anniversary Tour Finale at Yokohama Arena, and the perfect song to honor and close out their anniversary celebration. An epic part of Band-Maid history and I was so fortunate to be there in person to witness it live. This song encapsulates one of the main reasons we love these ladies. They love us Masters and Princesses as much as we love them. Saiki's heart felt words, and via the music, vocals and expressions of Miku, Kanami, Akane and MISA, shows their humbleness and appreciation of knowing we don't exist without each other. They also added an special extra verse just for this show, after Saiki makes her thank you interlude and walks down the runway. The perfect way to commemorate their love of their fans in their history with this recorded event. 🎵🎶"For making today Possible. For letting our voices join together, Thank you! From now, always. We'll never forget this view shared with you."🎵🎶 How can you not just love them.🥰 Not going to lie, shed a few tears that night on several songs, this song included.🥲 PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘

They added an extra verse for this performance, that had many of us watching (I was up at 0300 to watch the live stream) being attacked by sinus and allergy issues, in a few cases Ninjas suddenly appeared and were attacking us by cutting onions. This being the last song, hearing the genuine emotion in Saiki's voice, seeing their expressions, knowing just how REAL these 5 wonderful young Ladies are. All of that affected each and every person watching this performance, those there in person and those of use watching the stream. Even after the stream was over, I felt the emotional impact for several hours. Both joy and sadness. Joy of such a great performance, and sadness that I couldn't be there and hoping it had gone on for hours more.

MISA plays Hybrid Style, switching back and forth between Slap & Pick, and she never drops it. Originally, I though this song was a little light for a BAND-MAID song, but, as the last song of the last show of the 10th Anniversary Tour finale, it is perfect. A beautiful ending. But if you want a Banger, check out 'Hate?' LIVE from this same show. Song #27 of 33 in this 3 1/2 Hour show.

Oh this song... somehow I always get dust in my eyes when I hear it... IM NOT CRYING, YOU ARE! Great breakdown of this song (I've been "part of" this song, it's very life affirming, you leave the venue just happy) As far as picks vs. fingers on bass. Misa does both, often in the same song. She'll tuck the pick when she wants that finger sound, mostly for slapping.

A wonderful reaction. Thank you, sir. By the way, I'm glad your bass play view is 'agnostic.' MISA picks, fingers and slaps with either technique depending on what the song needs. I got up just before 3 AM to watch the live stream of this concert. After 3 and a half hours the sun was coming up as they performed this song. "Endless Story" was the capstone of their celebration of being together as a band for ten years: the ups and downs, the good and bad, and "Endless Story" is the perfect song for such a celebration. BTW: "Was she always using a pick?" Misa's fans know she magically switches style mid song: plectrum, finger style, slapping, she makes the pick disappear and apparate as needed. As in a magic show, you have to watch her carefully to see her do it, she does it so quickly, so seamlessly that it seems supernatural.

Hey, Prymalchaos. So pleased to see you reacting to a favourite of the channel in Band-Maid after a rather lengthy absence. This rendition of Endless Story, while by no means being the first time that Band-Maid have performed the song live, was the closing chapter to an Epic 33 song set at Yokohama Arena. To your point of Misa using a plectrum during this closing song Vs playing it finger style, she's fully capable of alternating between the plectrum and playing with her fingers, though it ultimately comes down to the BPM of any given song and where they're placed within the setlist. She'll frequently use the plectrum during the harder charging songs for the accuracy, whereas during slow to medium tempo songs, she'll more or less discard the plectrum and resort to playing them with her fingers. The rest of the band are definitely not slouching during this performance either with Saiki and Kobato's harmonies weaving together seamlessly while Kanami and Akane deliver customarily brilliant results. Personally, it can be somewhat of a challenge attempting to juggle so many balls simultaneously, though I certainly hope it doesn't prevent you from checking in every so often✌️❤️🤘🇦🇺

"There's two types of bassists" Misa is both types of bassists. Finger, slap, pick, I'm waiting for thumb sweeps, hammer-ons and pulloffs and tapping because I know it's coming some day. I wish they picked up the end of the show with all the pick and drumstick throwing and stage exit. It's all on the Blue-Ray and DVD though.

One feature of this concert is how far Saiki has come as the front person and a performer. The once shy, reserved Saiki was all over this concert -- not that Miku was nowhere to be seen. Miku turned on her full showmanship with "Rock In Me" and also her rhythm guitar solo. But Saiki has come so far, no doubt spurred on both by Miku's example and by the encouragement and support of the whole band. Miku not only does Omajinai time at concerts, she allows and encourages the others to get involved, including Saiki. Also the radio shows they did together. Saiki has matured into a strong and engaging front person, and the Yokohama Arena concert showed off her confidence and skill in this role in front of 8000 people. She doesn't just sing this song, she is the spokesperson for the band in the speaking parts -- and she is the one down on the centre stage singing "thank you" to all the fans. And she debuted her piano playing in this concert. Well done, Saiki!

Suggestions...If you haven't done "Hate?" from this same show, that's one to watch. They also just released a collaboration song, "Show Them", with The Warning, so if you also like The Warning, that's definitely one to check out. "Protect You" is another recently released song for the anime "Grendizer U", that just hit 1 million views. "Bestie" is another collaboration song. Mike Einziger from Incubus cowrote the song with the Maids. This one is very different from the typical Band-Maid sound but I feel is a great song, although this did create some turbulence in the Maidiac force...lol. BTW way....interesting choice of shirt. JJB also created some turbulence in the Star Wars fandom force.🤣 But you rock with what makes you happy...just like music, to each their own.😆

Misa mostly does picking ala Chris Squire. And, of course, a lot of slap ala Flea (and she has the trick where she can tuck the pick away and transfer instantly between the two of them). And then she can also finger-style on occasion with punch ala Geddy Lee. And recently I saw her do the one trick I didn't think she knew, which is playing tapping style ala Billy Sheehan. There are no tricks of which I'm aware that she cannot pull off. I'm not saying she's as good as the above bass players in their particular milleau (though she's close), but none of those guys can do ALL of these techniques. I saw you tearing up, PC! Yeah, I do too... every time. Rock on!

Believe me. It’s better this way. 😂 I play a bit of bass on some of my tunes, but it takes days of working out the part, getting proficient at the part and then finally after about 20 takes, recording the part. A lot of it has to do with the fact that my ego won’t allow me to compose something that is within the bounds of my limited capabilities. 😂 Usually I just outsource it to my old bass player. He left my band when he moved to Switzerland, but he is still super keen to record tracks for me. He is an amazingly creative player. Always elevates the song.
