@@SukeShiro nah. The people that expect empathy for having basic self control like a normal grown adult, are like children stuck in adult bodies. Just sitting in a circle telling sob stories and acting like you care.

@@SukeShiro fr, i wish people would have more empathy for themselves and others. addiction is considered a brain disease by a majority of professionals these days. obviously there is some degree of personal accountability, but it is also still straight up hijacking your brain pathways.

With the whole depression/anxiety/addiction thing - Cody is so correct. People go so far to dismiss those issues in the name of “helping others to boost positivity” when it’s just reinforcing negative outcomes. That’s why there’s such a push to normalise things like sexuality and combatting gender stereotypes because people don’t always align and the sooner people stopped giving a duck the happier we’ll all be

Addiction can effect absolutely anyone. You can come from a good stable home with great parents and wind up strung out on drugs. Drug addiction is a living hell. Everyone in my family has struggled with it at one point or another, but we are all good and loving, caring people. Some people’s perspective on addiction makes me sick to my stomach, sitting in contempt of someone that has a disease. I agree we make our own choices, but what starts out as having a little fun can quickly turn into something completely different. I don’t expect people who have never experienced addiction to understand, but to pass judgement on someone else, I can’t help but to think “Who in the hell are you?” I’ve met addicts that are way better people than some that are straightedge. Equating drug addiction to being immoral will never make sense to me.
@kokokringle988 ай бұрын
People equate it to being immoral, because addiction makes you do immoral things. How many drug addicts have stolen from their family & friends? I know I did when I was using. There’s a reason in 12 step programs, they tell you to make amends.

Have to be honest, I don’t buy that study without checking it myself. Because it’s also super easy to think that the causation is incorrect. Most depressed people don’t dance, so depressed people that DO dance are far more likely to recover from their already recovering depression. It’s like “escaping from poverty is strongly correlated with buying a yacht”.

He's gone from riding the high of being an international superstar in MMA no less to being a man whose lost his purpose and has ungodly levels of wealth and freedom. Well some people are just natural less addicted to certain things. Also people want to say well I just never do it which is great it you had good role model or are down and bad and take it before your bar in develops you screw up your whole mental development and rewire your whole brain chemistry to these things. Also everyone addicted to shit just some people addiction don't fuck up there whole lives so there just lucky there are addicted to a less harmful thing.

How can you tell the difference with Conor on drugs and him being tired? How can you also tell that he’s coked up than just adhd? If you actually keep up with this athlete before the fame and movie, you’d know that he’s always had this energy. All I’m saying is he’s not on drugs. You’d know this guy was on drugs.
