Finally got this in the sale, with cycles and aura after watching your overview ….. what a 24 Karat instrument, I truly can call this an instrument, it’s an adventure programming, but not a chore….if you turn it on, put your DAW in record and start sound tweaking, you’ll have a whole track by the time your patch is made… what do they put in the water in Bristol, 4king wicked !!! 😜 Gr8 overview , best unofficial video manual so far. Top man.

SUCH a good video; I learned things! Choreo is such a killer product.

Thanks Tom. It was a challenge as it's so deep but hopefully I covered everything! Glad it is helpful.

I bought this recently and love it! Definitely worth the money I paid for it.

I love slate and ash Cycles, some of the best sounds...I'd use it all the time, but also the heaviest cpu load of all the many many plugins I own. Unfortunately almost unusable unless it's at the earlier stages of a track. My computer is older, but it's still a macbook pro, so hopefully their new material is less of a cpu burden.

My PC is 2 years old. Cycles is choking once the reverb is being used. Either sloppy implementation or a NI problem with Kontakt. No other plugin forces my CPU to go to 99%. A waste of money.

@@buzzfunk yeah it’s a real shame, they really gotta update it. It’s capable of so much, but not if you can’t get it past stuttering.

When I want to add the sound of a S&A instrument to a project I have to bounce the current session, open a new session, import the original bounce, add what I want from S&A, bounce the S&A instrument to audio and (finally) import that audio back to the original project. It’s a total pain but (just about) worth it for the sounds. You’d have hoped that, particularly at this price point, the implementation would have been more carefully considered. For context, I have a top spec late 2019 MBP with 64GB RAM

Granular stuff in Kontakt is a massive cpu hog whatever the Library
@mmckmusic Жыл бұрын
@@skipstream2 Interesting, although again that comes down to S&A, at that price point they should have researched and looked for an alternative (functional) platform for delivery.

What is the background track from your intro / outro? I suggest you created it by yourself within choreographs? If so, how did you achieve the synth? Already sounds super stunning.

It is one of the demos from the Slate & Ash website

Is there a way to make samples scrub through the samples with the mod weheel as you play with midi controller ?
@wrigna1 Жыл бұрын
Slate and Ash creates interfaces that are extremely vague and unintuitive. I wish they would make better tutorials to make up for this, but their tutorials seem to be nonexistent, which makes the overall experience even worse.
@samburtyboy Жыл бұрын
They can be a little esoteric but this review is also a bit of a guide to the interface so hopefully it helps. I tried to cover every part of this very complex engine.

These plugins are too expensive. I bought landforms and it’s beautiful but not $300 beautiful.

I just got cycles on sale. Awesome plugin. Was hoping they would do sales on this plugin but i emailed and they were kind of rude and said not any time soon. So at their price point they wont get my money. It’s a kontakt instrument. Intuitive but also limiting at the same time. I bought komplete ultimate for 700.00. $250.00 for 1 instrument is ridiculous imo.

Slate.... is not known for his customer friendliness....

@@ericpeters0n yeah I emailed them and I got that as well actually was pretty turned off and I don’t think I’ll purchase another plug-in from him for that reason
