Checking out Enotria + Hades (Part 13)

I'm probably in the minority but I prefer traditional souls games (Bloodborne,Dark Souls 3,Elden Ring,etc) don't get me wrong there have been some good souls-likes over the years (Nioh,Lies of P, steelrising was okay despite the negative reviews,got overshadowed by Elden Ring,etc). However I'll always prefer Fromsoft developed souls games they're just much better it's not even an "opinion" it's a fact but to each their own. Don't like how somewhat parry heavy this game seems so far (was never a fan of parries in souls games let alone in any game in general that utilizes it) but still looking forward to this game when it comes out. Also something I noticed when I played this demo as well just like what Elden Ring did the devs clearly combined gameplay mechanics from other souls games obviously. This game has elements of Sekiro,Dark Souls/Elden Ring,a bit of Lies of P in there as well (the special abilities/skills are straight up similar to the weapon arts from Lies of P even) which is always nice to see.

One thing to consider is how much budget and employees FromSoftware has... Compared to indie devs

@@Louis13XIII Not sure if it has any relevance or significance but Nioh was made by Team Ninja (of Ninja Gaiden,Dead or Alive fame) so clearly they're not even "indie". Then Lies of P and Steelrising were made by indie devs sure but despite that they were both absolute bangers tho despite the number of employees they have and both those games were the first big projects both those companies ever done. Hell Lies of P has become a massive hit for Round 8 Studios (Lies of P devs) despite only things they did prior was expansions for existing games and the DJ Max music rhythm games so it was a great game....yet I still prefer Fromsoft developed souls games regardless has nothing to do with if a studio is "indie" or not but to each their own.

@@carloscorzo8935 I like Lies of P a LOT, it's my fav alongside dark souls 1. Elden ring imo is a lot weaker compared to other souls, slow progression, and the open world isn't as rich as we could hope, way too repetitive and felt watered down in many ways. As for parries, i'm biased cuz i absolutely loved the parry in DS1 and literally do the gwyn fight with parries alone and love it lol. Lies of P big on parries too and it's so much fun. Enotria has issues with performance and that's my problem with it; as for mechanics it seems fun, animations might not be the best, but it's not what made souls game cool imo, mechanics , learning the techs and strategies alongside boss patterns are what always gave us the big dopamine hit. So i think it has potential if they fix their poo-poo performance.
