The perfect handoff between Austin on the verses and Rob on the choruses and Adam with his beats and high soaring notes and Tim and Chance holding down the harmonies and beats makes this one of their greatest songs. This song always makes my day happier!

I grew up on classic rock & am a big fan of the Doobie Brothers & had their albums. "Listen To The Music" was a big hit for them back in 1972. Love that Home Free is keeping this great music alive & introducing it to the younger generation. The guys did a really nice job of this song. Austin was great for the lead & loved the background harmonies of Rob, Chance & Tim's bass. Adam killed it on the vocal percussion again. He always comes up with some new & interesting sounds.

This is simply excellent again!! I have been a fan of the Doobie Brothers for a long time. This song is just timeless. It still swings. Really something for Home Free. So great sung, so great harmonies, bone-feeling bass, But for me it's Adam who makes it truly phenomenal. He nailed it. The vocal percussion is just inhumane. So unbelievably good. For me the very best beatboxer/vocal percussionist/mouth artist there is.

I'm glad you chose to do this one. Yes, I think it's one of Adam's best performances, too. Two other great upbeat songs by #homefree are Fishin in the Dark/Boondocks mashup and Ain't Goin' Down Till the Sun Comes Up, which has a great harmonica solo by Adam (this last one is on their Facebook channel only). The videos for both of these are incredibly good.

I just played both this and the Doobie Bros. version back to back and then side by side listening to short sections of each and it is surprising how close both are considering one is A Capella and one has a band. Very interesting, give it a try. Home Free can almost duplicate a song if that's what they think works. These guys are more than amazing, always sounds like there is a band in there some where. They never sound like something is left out.

Can't disagree on the harmonizing ... it can be tough to separate and rightfully so; sometimes hard to tell who's doing what : ) ... Yeah, Adam killed this --- more than ya know actually ...... I believe it was he who had all the highs... and lows -- which ya caught part of on the restart and a pause or 2 (where it showed everyone with Adam going thru the motions) ... oh, and the scratches/noises that all fit right in .... = Studio version and multi-tracking. Now, don't think they don't or can't pull it off LIVE -- cause there you'd be mistaken!!! LOL -- Tim & Chance aren't the only ones who have an absolutely sick range! To see somethin' crazy --- Their "9 to 5" is pretty awesome ...
