Hello, as William rightly stated earlier, it’s not about a break-up, per se. It is about the challenges we face, and hopefully overcome, throughout our lives with good grace, but sometimes there are things thrown at us that are just beyond our ability to rise above and conquer. Swap the instances mentioned in the song-deprived of the love of a father, and the loss of your child-for any myriad of other insurmountable obstacles. My interpretation, for what it’s worth. 😁 A lovely day to all.

This concert was a very big event it was live from Hawaii it started with Elvis flying in by helicopter. It was live by Satillite the first any entertainer ever did. Seen all over the world all at once. By over 1.5 Billion.✌️♥️🙏🙏🙏

Elvis sang songs that reflected his experiences in life. His mother gave birth to twins and he survived and his brother was stillborn and she was highly affected by this. His father was in jail for a period of time and Priscilla left and took his daughter. His music is meaningful. Try “ In the Ghetto” because he grew up in the ghetto in Mississippi.

Not a gospel song. I definitely DO consider it a Breakup Song. Losing one’s son in a divorce seems like the Last Straw That Broke The Camel’s Back. This was written by Marty Robbins. But Elvis had recently been divorced by Priscilla so he was risking not seeing his baby daughter when he wanted. A heartbreaking song.
