These guys have been at it for like 30 years. I remember getting polypharmic with this stuff on in the background. In the late 90s there was a sort of renaissance for psychedelic EDM. Psytrance and goa and the like. And also stuff that defied genre and did it's own thing. Thinking of like, The Orb, Orbital, Underworld. I had a bootleg of an Orbital show that was my go-to trip music for most of high school.

Nice story about meeting them! I’ve actually met the guys in the band too. Like 25 years ago they did a show in San Francisco where the promoter for the event was a friend of a friend. So, me and 2 friends got to hang out with the guys in band for 3am post-show breakfast at Denny’s. Was really fun to hear their stories of doing things like playing a sunrise set in Israel in front of 30k people. Really nice guys.

Wow! I watched all of your Tool reactions saw this in my feed and I was floored. I like some electronic music it's fun. However Infected Mushroom is on another level! This track is already on my list. I HIGHLY recommend Nutmeg by Infected Mushroom.

It's even better performed live. Really uncommon to see electronic music performed on stage with all of its intricacies so well. Add to that the live instruments which is always better than sampled, and on the venues I've seen they also had an absolutely flawless mix that sounded amazing.

I know this sounds weird, but when I fly, I always have Infected Mushroom queued to listen to if we run into turbulence. It's impossible to notice the turbulence when listening to them.

Awesome album. I'd like to see ur reaction to Venetian Snares, they're one of the best breakcore artists imo. I recommend Nepetalactone from his album "Songs About My Cats" but pretty much any other song is good too

I was first exposed to these guys when I was stationed in Japan in the mid 90's. Them and Astral Projection just blew me away with the Goa Trance scene. What's funny about these guys is that they're kind of opposite in performances. Before they go on, Erez is super interactive and social, where Eisen just hangs back and chain smokes (don't know if he still smokes). As soon as they drop note 1, they flip. Erez is laser focused and Eisen is just a monster, interacting with everyone. I'm getting old so I haven't seen them in many years. It would be a blast to see another show, but I'm guessing they're much larger now. Not like the days where you would all just mingle and smoke before the party.

Search the channel, our man has a Shpongle - Empty Branes decomposition. Though the choice of track is a bit odd for that, Shpongle has stronger tracks in their early work, especially the ones with more live instrumentation - "Around The World In a Tea Daze" for example.
