Checking out more CIX! Reacting to "Numb, Cinema, 458 & Save Me, Kill Me" MVs!

Right, Save me kill me is connected to cinema because at the end they are watching their memories in the movie that Yonghee prepared for them before doing what he did, titled "Stella" (star in italian). In Cinema they are kind of filming all their happy moments in their friendship and we see Yonghee writing on the tape "Stella". By the way so you understand more: Seunghun's mum was hit by a car driven by Yonghee's mom after reading his last message. So he was split between feeling sorry for what happened to his mom and for Yonghee himself. Bx watched him being bullied without getting into action Jinyoung noticed that something was wrong with Yonghee and didn't took any kind of action and he was about to become a bully himself by beating up the guy that was tormenting another student. About Hyunsuk I don't really get what his role is, I think he just has already some kind of family issues and does not have the energy to pay attention for his friends too, I am not sure. These can be seen as their sins, so the reasons why they all went to inferno. This is more clear if you watch the story film. Even save me kill me of course is connected to Numb, because as you noticed there is the theme of bullying and Numb represents what bullying and the educational system in Korea does to innocent friends. Their story is connected since the debut, of course some have slight connections and other videos are more focused on the concept, at the beginning it was mainly about Dante's poem and then they added the suicid3 and bullying theme. Sorry if these info are a little bit confusing but it has been a while since I have been watching their stuff so I don'r remember everything Thanks for the reaction!

Light pink haired boy in 458 is Yonghee and he literally took my breath away when I first watched that mv.. His voice is also really pretty... I really hope you react to some of their live stuff cuz ugh they are just so good!!!

Save me, kill me is by far my favorite song by CIX, it's the reason I even checked out this group. the MV has a bunch of short videos before and after the MV that explain the story in short movie form. I recommend checking them out.

You're correct that Numb is about bullying and the brutality of the Korean education system Also the "no brands" version of 458 goes "go run in the misery" I watched Save Me, Kill me exactly once and then only watched the performance video... I had forgotten why. I remember now lol

Omg I’ll watch the whole reaction after my movie 😭 but I’m glad you liked CIX cuz imo they’re one of the few boy groups who focus a bit more on vocals even if they’re not the next Big Mama, Mamamoo or smth and the music is really great (not much noise and even if there are it’s not breaking your ears basically💀) Cinema is their best produced song vocal wise imo, the layers and harmony work is so good. Hyunsuk has my fav voice tbh it’s very stylistic but it adds so much to their songs when they let him sing it’s very breathy and captivating to me. I also recommend ZEROBASEONE for the future, they are having a pre release Wednesday (24th) and they are an actual vocal boy group and like it’s weird how criminally underrated and not talked about their vocals are even tho they are the only newer boy group who can try to compete with Aespa or Nmixx vocally. Anyway since you’re a vocal oriented person like me I thought you’d like them (they have a good main rapper too but he’s also a lead vocalist/main dancer so he sings 90% of the time). They only debuted in July (Boys Planet ended in April, we just had the 1 year anniversary of the group’s creation) but they have a lot of vocal oriented content already. Extra infos : Most of the members are involved in queer spaces and culture (or queer coded themselves… not assuming but hard to deny it lmao 😭 and they had the biggest sales for any debut ever and a rookie grand slam at award shows this year and won every ROTY possible)

@@isalvim We have to promote since W1 doesn’t do anything 😭🙏 and also to promote their vocals cuz imagine being the vocal group of 5th Gen and never being brought up in convos about vocals… + the group’s target audience is gays so might as well spread the agenda 🤞

Oh when it comes to B-sides, every song is soo story-coded too!. The prettiest in my opinion would be 'Curtain Call' which is from the same album as SMKM, and you know how depressing that was X3. Other amazing B-sides to listen to would definitely be: Imagine, Without You, Rebel, Stairway to Heaven and LOST. Just like Curtain call, they have a song called Bystander which both are extremely wonderful in terms of lyrics and it speaks VOLUMES.

Oh my god more CIX. This makes it appropriate for me to beg austin to please do more OnlyOneOf eventually. I know you liked shinee and to me they're their gayer children imo. Also idk how to feel about CIX's storyline thingy so tend to focus only on the music. This was a good medium to get acquainted with that part of their whole thing, thanks for the part 2!
