Checking out the Bushwakka awning

Mates mate sets up his Bushwakka awning for me to check out. Best way to check this camping out i reckon, from randoms that didnt get it for free. Pretty impressed, good strong well designed awning with an okay price tag in comparison to others.

Hard Korr now also offer an identical looking awning for sale. I wouldn't be surprised if they were both made from the same factory in China. Hard Korr's version is also $100 less than Bushwakka's.

Hey mate, just a few hints on the awning. When you open it up open the front arm first and tie it down with the ratchet before opening up the 270 side. On the 270 side make sure your bag is folded over the extrusion to prevent damage to the zip or bag. Noticed when you pulled it out the 270 side is over the top of the canvas. The 270 arms side should go below the canvas not over the top. This prevents a hole in the canvas when it closes at the other hinge side Check out a vid made by aus camping. Just watch the bag fading from uV and the Velcro strapping failing. Mine has faded in less then 12 months on the car. QLD sun is a killer

Apparently the bushwacca is darker, apart from that no difference so it seems

I think on a dual cab canopy theres practically only enough canopy lengh for 2 but on a wagon i would definitely go 3. The mount frame is 150mm odd deep extrusion so provides a decent backbone.
