Checking out the Ferrari 488 GTB with Josh Cartu

I'm in Budapest, visiting my friend Josh Cartu of Team Wolfpack from the Gumball 3000 for a rather special reason...
However, first up we take a ride in his new Ferrari 488 GTB on the Hungarian roads discussing the car, some of its features, and a sneak into what we're up to tomorrow. Then it's talk about plans for Gumball and we pull the covers back on his BAC Mono and Speciale A for a look too!

The statue in front of Hungaroring is, Ferenc Szisz (September 20, 1873 - February 21, 1944), who was a Hungarian race car driver and the winner of the first Grand Prix motor racing event on a Renault Grand Prix 90CV on 26 June,1906.

The car outside the Hungaroring is a sculpture of Ferenc Szisz, who won the first ever grand prix in 1906. Szisz drove for Renault but I don't think the car is a specific model.

Love it. I didn't care much for the car when I first saw it. It has a Corvette gaudiness to it with the scoops and vents. It's growing on me though and that interior is incredible. I'd still take a 458 Speciale though. White with Italian flag stripe and tan interior.

As mentioned in the introductory paragraph, Hungary has had connections with motorsport for a long time. One of the most prominent links can be seen in a race regarded as the first ever Grand Prix, where Ferenc Szisz - a Hungarian driver for Renault with experience in various motorsport competitions - triumphed in the two day French Grand Prix held in Le Mans during June 1906. His complete participation in Grands Prix is limited to the four French races that he entered between 1906 and 1914, failing to become the first repeat victor. However, his contribution to Hungarian auto racing has not been forgotten, with a statue of the driver located at the main entrance of the Hungaroring.
