Ferrari F12 TDF COLLECTION DAY and FIRST DRIVE with Josh Cartu

I join my friend, Josh Cartu for the collection day of his truly special Ferrari F12tdf, the special limited series, hardcore version of the F12berlinetta.
The TDF has 780PS, saves 110kg out of the standard car, features some impressive new design and makes for a seriously epic package. What better way to feature the car than to join an avid Ferrari collector on his very special day, as one of the earliest Ferrari customers to take delivery of the new Tour de France.
We first head to Ferrari Budapest in Josh's 488 GTB, before the moment he sees the new car for the first time. Then it's a first drive back into town for lunch, before Josh allows me the opportunity for a quick drive in his 488 and we wrap the day up!

Bigtime respect, my friend! I enjoyed hearing what you were saying about the sound of this car. We're about the same age, and we TOTALLY see eye to eye on so many things you've stated. Your vid here has to be one of the best I've seen in terms of Ferrari's being driven/test driven. For those who wish to REALLY open up the engine on a masterpiece like this, let them learn from you and I and take the car to their nearest race track. Shmee, I always watch your videos and enjoy seeing the adventures you have with your cars and other people's cars. Yesterday I managed to discuss Mclarens at a dealer with one of the employees and I was allowed to sit in a 675LT. There is something about the moment you get in and see the build quality and the comfort of the driving position that is unforgettable. Everything about that car I love. As with most people, I could not possibly afford a 675LT let alone find one to buy that hasn't already been marked up. I have a few friends that are quite successful financially and own exotics and I plan on learning from them on how they did it so one day I could hopefully own my own Mclaren. Keep up the great videos!

+Requixm true, to be honest I doubt it as well, but I still think that 488 is so different to FF (which is awd, n/a 6 litre v12 , 2 tonnes, 4 seater, and 488 is much newer, rwd, turbo 4 litre v8, 2 seater and very light). FF is a great GT car, but 488 is a track car which still can be used on normal roads a lot (unlike a very rare 675LT)

Just WOW! One of the best videos recently Tim, and TDF is just... I don't know what words to use. For me it is currently the best looking Ferrari, my jaws dropped, it's sensational! When it was revealed there was some criticism by some 'blind' folks about the look of the front and exahaust area but I liked it immediately and now I'm in love with it! There isn't a weak spot in the car, interior is fantastic and it sounds wow wow wow Congrats Josh on this amazing machine! :)

I always thought the 599 GTO made the best sound of any modern, production Ferrari. It took the GTB's sound and made it so much more. The F12's sound rivaled that of the GTO's and now they've taken the F12's sound to another league with the TDF. Thank you Ferrari for your time spent on making some the best music of all time, the only thing that compares is a Zonda with one of those 7.3L AMG V12s.

You had to take it easy on new engines back in the day because of Birger tolerances. New engines should be pushed in the beginning to create the pressure needed for the piston rings to really seal tight. Just google how motorcyclist do it and how they do it on race cars.

+the Real steel 007 YOu do have to take it easy. However, easy is basically drive the car as you normally would, but don't just hammer down the throttle and redline for 30 sec. One is not supposed to just trash the car immediately, you can do that after the first 4-500 miles

This was awesome on so many levels. The power discussion (tires, temp., etc), and watching the 911 try to match epeeen otw... Really awesome. Though, to be an ass and not be all compliments, sound still wasn't harmonized like the LFA. Genuienly, insanely awesome car. I bet it sounds better from the inside than a LFA. BTW, shmee, well done documenting the experience.
