L’Hermione is criminally underrated. She’s the fastest and one of the most maneuverable ships in the game. With a strong armament, stern and bow chasers. A true glass cannon that can club anything of equal or lower rating. An ideal example of a French built frigate, fast, agile, if lacking in armor. In the hands of a skilled captain she is a match for larger ships.

Don't take this as ill spirited because it is not intended to be that way. You just say some things that don't seem accurate to me. By 'underrated' do you mean the she should not be a 5th rate or that the BR of 65 is an underestimate? Also almost every 6th and 7th rate is faster and more maneuverable so your statement about being "the fastest and one of the most maneuverable ships in the game" is clearly false. Maybe you are only counting 'full rigged' ships? Why do you think it is a more capable ship than the pirate frigate which is of course a 5th rate with the same BR? Since I have little interest in full rigged shipped maybe I am just not as discerning when it comes to them. Happy hunting.

@@Fhiach Thank you for mentioning this. We are on the peace server but I think many think your rank gets reset on seasonal. Makes a significant difference and of course also makes DLC a lot more valuable after those bloody resets.

After the basic brig I got the pandora she was fun lost her a couple times lol but I still use her and with long guns I love how she has the 2pds on top I wish a other ships had some 2pds on top

LGV refit has the 2lb swivel-guns, they DESTROY crew amazingly.

Just a quick question: i recently found out about this game and reviews are not very weloming... In your opinion... Is it worth it to start playing it as a f2p right now, or is it too late?

There is a seasonal server which is the busy one and wipes around every 6 months (doesnt wipe xp) Roughly 400-900 people is what I've been seeing. Just starting out there will be a grind of course as your max crew is tied to lvl but if you enjoy it there's no reason not to. I play very casually and just jump in and out but there are active clans and so on

Grind hasn't changed that much as far as im aware. The changes in safe zones and trading areas are the big changes i guess

Once you pick up the missions, how long do you have to complete them? Killing 22 ships in 24 hours seems a bit much

Oh there's no time limit on it. The medal score on the quest tab is every 2 weeks for the rewards

Trade is broken there is no constants all trade goods are player produced from combat.

id love to play the game. but im not gonna spend $80 Canadian for a single ship. thats a hard put off. sure its effort and value. and its a free game. one thing though buying a game for $80. sure its a little pricy but. $500 to fully experience a game. i can buy 20 games for that :/. makes me sad though. looks fun. just cant justify

Can understand that. For me, there's plenty to mess around with on and off, so i don't feel the need to buy them. But i know others will play more hours and wanna do everything

If you have more crew than the ai Deck guns Bombs Attack in that order and you will win

Oh, you can just switch to attack at last second most of the time If you've wrecked the crew and insta win. Obviously situational

I Ment to say last second switch but the enemy attack pattern if lower crew than you is Brace Deck guns Musket Musket Repeat if you do the pattern I mentioned above you will win just don’t press it till you see the counter hit 2 seconds

@@Fhiachit really ruins the fun I just want to play pve but can’t do lay that server and this forces us to A. Buy a dlc B. Get a friend or pay for someone to make one/ take the time to make one yourself C. Try and farm elites the best way to do that is to hug Allie fleet till they cross a elite and use them as a fleet of gun and armor (doing this as we speak)

@WildsDreams45 it is and you can, the way the ship is built can give different effects, different woods give different bonuses. You'll need a bit of knowledge with manual contril of the sail angle too to get more speed

This game is just a shadow of it's former self. From 3k players to 400-900.. zzzzz this is a pay to win game. I' ve had my fun with it I see after four years away, it's still just trash in the end. Sad. This was in it's golden age. sooo fun. Just not there anymore.

I understand that it is an online game with multiple players and you have to go through tutorials at the beginning to give you some xp and crew, but why the hell veterans who have played this game before and had the increased level and crew 800 at least after reset the servers and we have to start over, at least the vast majority of veterans who played this game don't play it anymore because it's hard and ugly for them to start over the same story wtf but you should think about a DLC that allows you to have at least 500 people as a crew ...

Crew does not reset with a wipe. Most of the older players have access to the war server that doesn't wipe at all
