Chilling in the new update/wipe in Naval Action

Played this game casually before the wipe and must say this is a completely different experience at the end of March 2024. Servers must have been up for almost a year I think before I joined in 2023 and it was so fun having a server that was just full of everything, both people and items. I understand the build up phase again after a reset, but the game experience as a casual is now way worse and it doesn't draw me back in as easily. I don't have time to grind for every item I need. And considering I lose my ship if I die, it was quite helpful having a fair amount of low end upgrades and such available to buy after a few runs to earn money. Now, nobody seems to be selling anything because everyone needs it for themselves I assume, so there is no extra stuff for the casuals. I think this will just hurt the game long term by having these wipes. Considering that it can take 30-45 minutes or longer in real world time to travel across parts of the map, it is quite a kick in the gut when you get reset.

Yeah i guess that's the incentive for people to pay and get access to the 2 other servers

@@Fhiach Honestly I would consider paying for that. But I think you had to pay before it went FTP. Sounds like just one dev is trying to keep it going so I don't he has any time to change something like that now.

I just checked the store and didn't see any DLC to buy. Maybe they use to but turned it off?

Great work and thanks for the effort you put in! I asked this question on your other video but, how long to you have to complete the missions? It seems impossible to kill 22 ships in a few hours of play

@@Fhiach Thank you so much for getting back to me so soon! I've asked the question several times and got mostly it was 24 hours or from server start to restart. I really have fallen for this game for the same reasons you mentioned for yourself in your video and it' such a shame that Game-Labs have made such a shit show of its possible progression to a top notch game. Thanks again for you reply and your videos! More content for noobs would be great!

@@Fhiach Again, thank you for your reply. Most videos on this game are well outdated and furthermore don't answer the most basic questions. I'd like to see a video on making fleets and how do they work in combat. Do the other ships in your fleet act like the AI or do or do you control them etc.

@ignominioussot5699 oh lol, look at the latest one i posted. I used 3 ships for a few fights, short answer they act like ai but you can give basic commands via map in battle

Is it worth it for a new player like me to get into the game? I’ve been reading a lot of conflicting reviews both on and off steam

There is a seasonal server which is the busy one and wipes around every 6 months (doesnt wipe xp) Roughly 400-900 people is what I've been seeing. Just starting out there will be a grind of course as your max crew is tied to lvl but if you enjoy it there's no reason not to. I play very casually and just jump in and out but there are active clans and so on

As Fhiach puts it the combat is awesome. It's a slow grind getting your level ups but you don't need it to take up more than 20 minutes for a few points. It's free to play so why not try? I joined Clan 9 who welcome noobs join and let me know. I'll try to help.
