Just bought mine :) the Layers and bottom keys for thumbs will help me with my carpel tunnel. My fingers and wrists hurt so much from moving them far distances all day. It adds up quick, this keeps all your fingers nearthe home row which is important for speed as well as productivity. I broke my right hand a few times and being able to not move my pinky that extra inch to the backspace actually starts to hurt after typing 5000 words in a day. I have a 70% and was going to grab a 60% but the Pok3r's function layers don't seem as practical by default. I do a lot of coding and a lot of technical writing, including a lot of number crunching. I think having the numbers on the home row will make things easier. I am already used to a horizontal number layout as I went TKL a couple years ago. People think these small boards are impractical but they make so much sense. Less finger travel = less fatigue.

I own two other vortex keyboards. The race 3 and poke 3. Vortex builds some solid keyboards. I will pick up the core sooner or later. There are not too many pre-built 40% keyboards on the market especially under $100. The core has CNC aluminum case, pbt sub dye key caps in a classic white/grey, Cherry switches and its programmable. Only other pre-built I can think of is a qisan mini 49. However its a plastic case, abs key caps and non programmable. Another 40% is the mini van. its $250, DIY kit without keycaps and switches. So you are looking at $350+ for a complete keyboard.

Definitely in my Top 5 mech KBs. Vortex has a very solid lineup. I don't need all the RGB and schizo key cap colorways--an endless supply of those around. Cream&Tan is timeless. A masterpiece. Hey, do what you feel, bruWhy care if you only review Razer and Corsair. That is where the money and views are for a YT reviewer. As. Viewer, it is about the passion of technology and following the progression. Only do what you are passionate about as it shows clear as a sunny day when your like is truly into the product or just aiming to appease for views.

Cherry lost their patent on mechanical switches, so now you can get mechanical,RGB knock-off keyboards that are comparable for $40-$50, instead of $100-$200.

i would say that this keyboard is more toward compact form factor n mobility,definitely not for gaming since most keys that i personally used during gaming such as number row,arrow key,tab are missing,would surely hinder my gaming experiences

Not made for gaming, especially something like starcraft that requires the dedicated function keys. You could probably make it work if it's something like a moba such as league or dota, or a fps. But still, accessing the numbers would't be the fastest thing ever, when compared to something that has a dedicated number row. This is really just made for typing so you don't have to move your hand a lot. But I guess this is exactly why you want to see it for gaming...

zepcrazyfre standard sets should fit, just keep in mind the spacebar sizes on the bottom

I bought one of these, can you please try and answer if I can reprogram the layer 0 (default) to hit CAPS and it register TAB, remap the caps to tab , I use alt+tab very much and do not use caps, I want to change and use Tab as layer 0 and caps as fn.

Not really. It could but you may be better off with a larger keyboard, like a 60% or larger. It would be nice since your mouse would be closer to your keyboard. But you will be missing quick access to a number row.

Who the heck is this for? The whole appeal of mechanical keyboards seems to be focused on the "having feedback so you know the key you've pressed", which is gone here. The point that mechanical keyboards are great for gaming goes out the window as well since you don't have like half of the keys (numbers, arrow keys). And don't even mention that mechanical keyboards are great for typing/programming, as this keyboard fails at it - numbers, arrows, tab, even brackets are hidden behind mode switching. It looks like a totally "just because we can" thing.
